Manning played one of a game. The two best teams will be meeting in the SB.
Good luck to your team, J.T.
By the way, you're still gay.
I'd visit this forum more often, but you guys just don't have any interesting football takes.
Then you fit right in.![]()
The guy who did the most damage yesterday, Pierre Garcon, didn't even play scholarship college ball. He came from Division III Mount Union ... and has been on a tear in the post-season.
Which makes Mrs. Mikey a very happy woman.![]()
and only on the practice squad last season.
Yeah well there's some people on this forum that would make you think the only reason Garcon is beasting is because Peyton is catching the ball for him.
its odd how before the colts and after the colts, brandon stokely hasnt ever done , other than a fluke catch this year against the browns.
Even being down by 11, you just knew Manning would lead his team back.
Whitlock.
Peyton Manning is just sick with it. Once he gets in a groove you can forget about it. Rex Ryan was throwing every look imaginable to him and he just picked them apart. Not to mention the fact that he didn't even throw to his main guys in Wayne and Clark. Amazing! Even Colts haters have to appreciate that guy for what he is.
To Stretch's defense, he compared Marvin to Hines Ward and Derrick Mason, meaning that without Peyton Marvin might not be considered one of the best receivers ever, but he still would have been a good receiver who consistently had 1,000 yard seasons on run heavy teams and made a few probowls.
Think about it, what made Marvin Harrison successful with Peyton that neither Ward nor Mason have? He's no faster than Mason or Ward, all three are considered receivers with really good hands, maybe Harrison is slightly better here but both Ward and Mason are considered crisp route runners. It seems like every receiver who has had Peyton throwing them the ball gets rave reviews about their great route running.
In his career Marvin Harrison averaged 76.7 yards per game and had 128 TD's, while Hines Ward averaged 58.9 YPG and had 78 TD's. If instead of playing in an extremely run heavy ball control offense with QB's like Tommy Maddox, Kordell Stewart, and Ben Roethlisberger (who for his first 3 years in the league was a glorified Trent Dilfer), he played in a pass heavy offense with maybe the best QB of all time, it seems pretty realistic and reasonable to say would have had at least 18 more receiving yards per game with probably 100+ Td's. One thing that's for sure is that both Ward and Mason would have been more reliable in the playoffs than Marvin.
Idk why you have such a strong opinion about how Marvin would have been so good without Peyton but the Colts' offense not missing a beat once Marvin fell off somewhat takes away from how important he was, the same way the Giants winning the superbowl is viewed as by most a blemish on Tiki Barber's career.
Fatlock is a shock artist. I don't even bother with him. It's like listening to Skip talk about LeBron.
I guess we might see DarrinS post in the NFL again, some day.
That's some funny IMO. He's not even serious anymore, he just says for the of it hoping to draw a reaction out of whoever he's arguing with.
Yeah, it's fun to hear, but take it with a grain of salt. Everything I've ever heard Whitlock say goes against what most people think. It helps him stay relevant in KC.
seems like dok didnt start ting on marvin harrison until he saw mono doing it
just sayin
lol tiki
Clark evolving from a good TE to an elite TE and Wayne (who was waiting to be the #1, and IMO is a slightly better receiver than Marvelous) filling his shoes seamlessly.
