well, what's worrying is that the Parker of the last two games was fine (17/31 55% FG, 9 APG, 1.5 ToPG, 1.5 STP, 8/10 FT). and we still lost.

The problem isn't necessarily our big 3+1 from an individual standpoint IMO..its the fact that its rare that even 2 of the 4 have good performances in the same game..

So like kace said, Tony has had big games and we've still lost..we didn't get the expected performances from the others..

I'm glad I don't have League Pass. I'd feel guilty if I didn't watch the games. I'd feel bad if I did.

true. How many times tony and manu have been good the same game ? what about being good both AND RJ ? You have a good chance to see Tim at his level on whatever game, but for the others three members of the supposed big 4, it's a big IF.

Tony's good games this year are miles away from his good games last year. The boxscore doesn't tell you his midrange game is gone, that his outscoring scoring consistency is non existant, his speed reduced, even his finishing at the rim, while still well above average is suffering.

This team has got so many issues that you don't even know how to go about fixing them. Healthy Tony would help without a doubt, but Jefferson, Manu, lack of defense and constant energy, never ending mix and mash from Pop are causing this team to look like someone who lost their iden y and who is desperatly looking everywhere to find a new one. This playoff rotation that Pop brought in last night should be cemented in stone for at least a month or two- this is what we have to work with, nothing more, nothing less. Get ur together guys, noone is going to do it for you.

i won't argue that Tonys isn't at his best or at last year's level.

Still, the great games that you talk about came in a season where tony was the go to guy and averaged 4.3 more shots per game. Considering he scores about 1.3 pts per shot, that his FG % is almost the same (50 %), you see that the 5 pts drop in his average comes mainly from him taking less shots, what was asked and expected by most of the fans considering the new guys coming in the team.

Once again, Tony needs to be better, and especially more consistent this year, that's for sure. but asking him to explode for more than 30 pts like he did many times last year isn't fair considering the number of shots he takes this year (13 shots per game).

Tony P has been the Spurs most consistent player the last three years and his Planter Faciatis (sp?) issue has robbed him of his blinding speed and quickness. I saw a game last year in person where he outscored the Mavericks almost by himself (19 points in the first quarter) - 38 for the game. He can't perform like that right now. His biggest strength is breaking down a defense with penetration and a layup or a dish to an open shooter.

This year has been incredibly frustrating. The Spurs can't hang their hat on anything right now.

just lol TP was yesterday and without a doubt the best player of the team and we have: "I miss 2007 TP". First games it was TP is a turnover machine and he must limit his FGAs to be sure the others are involved. Tonite and since few games now, 1 TO, 14 FGAs converting 9, 8 assists. Then it was the guy isn't making enough efforts, tonite he gave 6 rebounds one more than tim and one steal.

    ing fans.

True, he is nowhere what we expect and are used from him. But still, he is doing better compared to the start of the season and you can see that over the recent games. Even tough he isn't healthy, I give him props for that. Even so, we are still losing, he isnt the one to blame right now. He was not the problem.

Damn, I hope there will be changes soon.

Love Tony's game, but Spurs need more of a distributor type point guard that can get the offence flowing. I'm just not sure if TP is the right kind of PG needed for this Spurs team now. Hope I'm wrong on this though.
