Oldest player to ever get 27 or more rebounds in 35 minutes or less in the modern era..
Okay, now that stat is even more manufactured than Chris Paul's "consecutive games with a steal".

I wonder how many 33+ year olds have had 20 or 25 rebounds+ in the shot clock era?

    Wow. Timmy is the man!

I wonder when was his last 20-20 game though - or a game where he caught more than 25 boards. Too lazy to check, too busy as well gah.
actually, prior to tonight, 25 was his career high i think from '03.

blair still managed to sneak in 9 boards himself

Marcus Camby (35 years old) did it a couple weeks ago (Jan. 20th vs. Bulls) with 25 rebounds.

In the shot clock era? Probably quite a few. The game used to be really up tempo. I'm talking about 4 seconds or less on every possession.
I'm sure it's happened quite a bit, but you could also calculate for pace to make that stat more meaningful.

Marcus Camby (35 years old) did it a couple weeks ago (Jan. 20th vs. Bulls) with 25 rebounds.
    Camby is a freak though.

I didn't "manufacture" that stat LOL, it's true..

Basketball-reference has games that go back until 86-87..in that time, there have been 12 instances of 33+ year olds getting 27 rebounds or more(including Duncan)..Duncan is the only one to do it in under 38 minutes..

It's funny how that works...all of Duncan's averages over the past five years are starting to bare themselves out, only this year he's doing it in 32-33 mpg. He's settling into: (roughly) 19 ppg, 11 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.9 bpg, 50-53%, 70-75%.

With Parker out, Pop needs to not overwork Duncan (or Ginobili). Jefferson should be able to handle significantly more minutes and will have to, with Hill playing the point exclusively and Mason likely playing the majority of his minutes at the point as well. With Finley not yet back and Hairston with the Toros, the Spurs are down to five perimeter players. This means small ball is likely out the window for the time being.

That was impressive but why is Duncan shooting so bad lately?

I didn't watch the game, did the Beast play most of his minutes while Duncan was out?

Not to go all Hollinger on you, but it's called regression to the mean. Duncan has never shot 55% in any season in his 12 year career, so the likelihood of him continuing to shoot over 55% from the field was highly unlikely. Granted, he's facing a lot less double teams these days, but nonetheless, his career percentage is .509%. His best years were: .549% in 07-08 and .546% in 06-07. Aside from those two seasons, his next best is .513% in 02-03.

If my notes are correct, tonight was Duncan's 20th 20-20 game in the regular season. He has 10 in the Playoffs.

10 in the playoffs is nice.

His minutes increase, so his stats do as well. If Duncan had played up around 38-40MPG during his entire prime like a certain other stat-padding PF of the same age, his per game averages would be nasty.

Haven't come forum for a long time, I'm so happy about this...I also noticed that Duncan did not even mention it in the post-game interview.
