I agree that Bosh > Amare. But why would the Raptors do it? They'd just be swapping expiring deals?
I'm listening to the morning radio and they're having this discussion. He makes a good point. I would love to have Bosh play alongside Tim. He's got more of an upside than Amare I think. I would hate to part with Manu but we do need a big man. Tim can't do it by himself. He needs a soldier to go into battle with and he is my choice. What do you guys and gals think?

And the Raptors agree to this trade bacause..?
They are probably ready to trade Bosh and will explore options but he's expiring and taking back other expirings serves no purpose. They'll want talent and picks, we have neither to offer.
They are not dealing Bosh.
Good insight yall..... Just wanted to know what yall thought. I can dream though....

thanks Fabbs, didn't know it was discussed already.....
oh no you were talking Manu for Bosh which as you saw the Raptors would not simply swap expirings.
But for a 4 time le rider coach like Pop.........
Hey Fabbs, why don't you generate your infamous proposed trade using the espn trade machine and show us a link, will ya?![]()
That's for player swaps.
Coaches, while they cannot be traded for players, nothing in the CBA prevents Popped from going to the Raptors should the Spurs release him in a deal that would ship he, Finley and ilk like you to the Raptors in exchange for le enhancing Bosh thus a return to Tallballs and a real championship shot.
I'm impressed with how much you've learnt in the past few days. Now your IQ must stand at more than 5.
Thank you.
Will you move up to Toronto if Pop n Fins head up there?
Considering that the "g" alphabet is right above the "b" alphabet on the keyboard, it is very possible "Fabbs" created his account with the wrong spelling.
I think it would take giving up TParker to get Bosh. I'd consider it seriously, especially if SPurs could come to terms with Bosh on a longterm deal in principle.
Though Parker is still young, I'm concerned with the longevity of a smaller point guard that has taken quite a physical beating over the years. Bosh, on the other hand, gives SA a big to build on in the post Duncan era.
furthermore, I think the twin tower approach alleviates some of the demand on the PG position to score. In Toronto, Parker would be the star and could raise his stock further as a player as he looks ahead to his own free agency.
never really liked TP as our franchise player, but w/o him I don't see us winning anything... who is going to play at PG???
I love TP's game but I don't believe he franchise player that you want to invest the future in. Take away his speed and what do you have? A player like TP just doesn't have a long NBA career
I remember Hubie Brown saying Manus 1st or 2nd year in the league that because the way he plays you have to wonder how long his career will last. I think we are seeing it now and he was right. His controlled chaos style has shortened his career (ability wise). It's just the way it is.
Forget the expirings. At his stage of his career...Manu would never garnish a long term quality player in return for his declining abilities.
I think the only team that would have interest in Manu would be a playoff team looking to have that added impact player to help in their quest for a le this year.
And if that's the case...the Spurs might as well just keep him on this team in hopes he will (for one last time) play like the Manu of 3 years ago during the playoff run.
I was listening to the radio this morning. Why does Andy E. sound all butt hurt about people okay with the idea of trading Tony Parker to the Raptors for Bosh? Or trading Parker at all. Its not like Parker is the Franchise of the Spurs. Don't get me wrong. I love Parkers game and will not deny that he's been important to the Spurs championships and cannot be replaced, but if you can get a Bosh for him, you do it. Its not like people are saying Parker sucks because he doesn't. People are just saying if they were the GM they would be willing to let Parker go for someone who would make the Spurs better.
and send bonner along with him back to toronto...
People on ST need to give up the Bosh pipe dream..seriously, give it up, it's very unlikely to happen..
With the lockout coming up, Bosh leaving Toronto would cost him a lot of money..his main alternative is a sign and trade..either way, nothing will happen with Bosh until the off-season..also, the Raptors are finally starting to play like they were expected to, they aren't just going to get rid of Bosh mid-season, unless they get some kind of mind-blowing offer, and the Spurs can't give them that..
Give it up..
Dude! How about Matt Bonner for Lebron!!
Get real noob.
sure manu for Bosh and Lebron for a peanut bag
