Al Horford? Screw this crap. Next, they are going to tell me Atlanta has plenty of help because Horford is an "all-star". David Lee should be in the game over him.
Hill should replace Rose in the sophmore game imo lol

It'll be great when Pau pulls his hammy a third time right before the game and they call me to replace him and then I blow my knee out and that ugly as Kaman dude that nobody gives a about ends up going.
I don't really see why everybody thinks David Lee should get in..I guess because he plays in the best city in the world..
He's putting up big numbers, but he still plays horrible D..the Knicks don't deserve an all-star more than the Hawks deserve 2 all-stars IMO..the Hawks have surprised everybody by putting themselves on the same level as Orlando/Boston this season(I don't think it will last, but you never know)..
Assuming Horford is the wildcard, why can't they give the spot to Josh Smith then, if the Hawks deserve 2 all-stars? This makes no sense whatsoever. Except for Joe Johnson, there is no one on the Hawks team that deserves to be an all-star. On a good day, Horford can be the 2nd best player on the team, same goes for Smith, Crawford.
How does a guy averaging 13.6 points and 9.8 rebounds get to the all-star game anyway? This is just ridiculous.
I agree, this is even worse then Mo Williams last year
Horford?
If they were gonna be 2 Hawks players, I would have rather seen Smith or Crawford. Lee got snubbed big time.
Kaman should have made it but im not surprised he didnt make it. I had a feeling Pau was gonna make it.
Other than that, good choices.
Wait!
Mo Williams and Shaq didn't make the All-Star team and Gasol did?!?!!?
Playing in Memphis is nothing like playing in LA.
David Lee got snubbed because he averages 19 pts, 11 rebs, and nearly 4 assists (which leads NBA centers) while shooting at 53%
If you're going to say that his team doesn't have enough wins or whatever...See: Derrick Rose, Chris Bosh, Gerald Wallace, Chris Paul
None of those guys teams have records that are stellar or anything like that...
As far as defense, since when has a players defense ever been a deciding factor on whether or not they make it to the All-Star Game? Besides guys that don't play great defense that made both rosters...See: Bosh, Nowitzki, Stoudemire
Lee got robbed.
That's a whole 'nother argument.
All the guys you named have .500 records or better..all the guys from the East that you named are in the playoffs..
The Knicks are EIGHT GAMES below .500..
IIRC, the only player in this year's ASG that plays for a team under .500 is Iverson, and he was voted in by the fans..there's no way a player on a team that is 8 games under .500 deserves to be in the ASG..he would have to be playing dominant basketball or have a big name..David Lee doesn't fit that criteria..
But neither is Horford to be honest. So Lee should have been an All-Star as should have been Josh Smith. Both over Horford.
Does anyone else think Josh Smith deserved the second Hawks spot more than Al Horford?
They are about the same really. Just that Josh Smith's elite help defense gives him that extra edge.
I did. Smith to me was the number one snub. I would even put Crawford ahead of Horford.
I dont know about that but i agree that i thought Smith would make it quite comfortably as a Forward rather than a wildcatd - he didnt even make it at all.
They're not stellar but they're not mediocre.... All those teams are at .500 mark Knicks are 7 games below .500
If Iverson and Garnett were not voted in by fans, this problem would not have existed. There was a lot of talks about Iverson not deserving to be in the game, everyone left Garnett out of the talk. Now the Celtics have 3 all-stars.
Garnett's averages through 31 games are: 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.9 blocks.
He missed plenty of games, had some bad stats, so how in the world will he be in the game without reputation or fans?
So a guy that averages 13.6, 9.9, and 2.2 should make it over a guy that averages 19.4, 11.4 and 3.4 because he plays on a team that has a better record even if he may not be the reason that team is playing that well, since Joe Johnson plays a bigger role on the Hawks team and Jamal Crawford is as important to that team as Horford is
And, Toronto is 24-22 and Chicago and Charlotte are even at .500, so it's not like these guys are playing on great teams...
I would have thought Bogut was more deserving than Horford.
ummm son why didn't you include Steve Nash on that list? he is STARTING the all star team and his team isn't even in the playoffs right now. The Hornets have a better record than them, yet you sure didn't have a problem name dropping Paul. get your facts straight.
The WC picks are just fine. You can make legit cases for other players, but there isn't anyone that stands out as a huge snub.
The EC though....you can blame all the idiots who voted for Allen Iverson. Seriously, he should have retired.
i think lee should be there no doubt i havent seen alot of horford this season but oh well
