Props to Kobe for having a GOOD night on the court instead of his usual antics.
10-15 shootings for a change and only 8 trips to the free zone!

it's really funny how some of you folks waste your time with this kobe thing. When you have coaches and players who actually are a part of the game saying kobe is the best ( not all because some say lebron) then you would think you'd get the idea, that lebron and kobe or kobe and lebron are the top two players of the game.

    this isn't science.

    Kobe's back spasm healed?

    Last 3 games

    27.3 PPG
    537% FG
    350% 3FG
    8 APG
    9.6 RPG
    1.0 SPG
    3.6 T/O

Best of all Kobe's just averaging 18 FGA per game which translates to his higher assist and rebound numbers.

Kobe needs to do that for the rest of the season and I guarantee the Lakers would end up with the best regular season record.

I don't think the back spasms were a lingering thing as I haven't heard about them recently.

As for the broken index finger it is healing up, I figure he will be fine after the All Star Break.

Kobe's pinky finger will never heal unless he has the surgery to re-attach it.

I've always thought that Kobe would be better if he scored less. He can be the best perimeter defender in the league if he wanted too but he wastes all his energy on offense.

I think he has so many great offensive/sub-par defensive teammates that he should distribute, rebound, and play lock down defense more often than putting up shots.

That stat line he put up the other night was spectacular. Almost a triple double while only putting up 15 shots? Thats great.

He should be doing this more often: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBu28UwDzps

Broken fingers need time to heal. It is the natural order of things.

You won't hear me talking about the broken index finger after All Star Break.

Nowhere does your article say it's a jammed finger.

When an avulsion fracture occurs, the tendon or ligament pulls off a piece of the bone.

Jammed Finger = A jammed finger is a sprain of one of the joints in your digit.

Avulsion Fracture: Lamens term, severe jammed finger. Nothing more. Common injury in the sport of basketball. But for some reason, were supposed to believe Kobe is some "warrior" playing through the pain of a common basketball injury.

Where does it say Avulsion Fracture = Jammed Finger. Are you making this up?

I'm no doctor, only basic biology class, and even I know

    1. Finger jam's are sprains.
    2. Finger Fractures are breaks.

Even the link you posted doesn't say it.

Did you even click the link?? In big letters......JAMMED FINGERS. I will quote the important part you missed.

"The impact of a ball to the fingertip can cause one or both of these ligaments to bow out from the finger and overstretch, which results in swelling. In rare cases, a piece of bone breaks off with the ligament, resulting in what’s called an avulsion fracture."

Do you even know how to read. It's right there in front of you. As soon as you separate bone, it is no longer a sprain, it becomes a fracture:

In rare cases, a piece of bone breaks off with the ligament, resulting in what’s called an avulsion fracture.

The definition of a jammed finger varies greatly. Severely jammed fingers can result in an avulsion fracture which is usually a tendon pulling off (breaking) a piece of bone.

    avulsion fracture
    - separation of a small fragment of bone cortex at the site of attachment of a ligament or tendon.

Once again, classified as a jammed finger to Mens Health.

im in med-school and in first semester anatomy you learn what an avulsion fracture is. It most commonly occurs on the ischial tuberosity (where your hamstrings attach), however you can get them at other areas such as the foot or hand, but are much less common.
