really we have no choice. Dice is too slow. Blair is too small.
Duncan's by himself against this athletic team. Ian could be perfect in this game but it's too late to get him in the rotation.
It's all been directly attributed to poor perimeter D and small ball..it's ridiculous..
Hawes scored that reverse layup against Duncan(I'm not counting the reverse fadeaway bank, because that was ridiculously lucky), but I don't think they scored in any other 1 on 1 matchups down low in this game..
Everything has been driving in the paint since we've seen small ball for the majority of the game..how the can you expect good D when we're running a lineup of Blair and Finley at C and PF..what the ?..
Yeah, like it will make a difference. Duncan's defense is just as pathetic.
Funny, we had a fairly good lead until we went small...
Yup..we were up by 7 or 9 IIRC, and then Sacto made their run with small ball and eventually took the lead until Duncan came back in the game..
And smallball will always survive as long as there's a fan that repeats the above failed mantra. Just remember that Dirk would go off for 50 points a game if it weren't for smallball.

It's obvious that Pop is playing a lot of Blair out there because he's saving Tim and Dyess for the more meaningful game tomorrow.
the Spurs aren't a democracy. The coaches are going to do whatever they or upper management want.
I agree. And the Spurs are going to give up a nine point lead to a horrible team in a flash because the coaches can't resist putting five guards on the floor. You know your lineups have been a dismal failure when you have to put Tim Duncan and Antonio McDyess back in with 4 seconds to go.
