Talk about a major upgrade over Ben Gordon.

A viable rumor making the rounds Wednesday had the Bulls and Celtics possibly making a deal with Kirk Hinrich and Ray Allen as the principals.
A package of Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas and the expiring contract of Jerome James for Allen and another player would work under the salary cap.
Chicago would be interested in retaining Allen next season at a reduced price.
Ray Allen is the scariest player on the Celtics IMO..When he heats up from 3 in the playoffs, he's won games by himself..Boston would be worse without him but they have their reasons for trying to deal him I guess.
Does anyone actually know what those reasons are? Any help, Boston fans? Because I honestly don't understand why anyone would want to trade Ray Allen.
I guess they really want Tyrus Thomas
No offense to Tyrus Thomas, but he has one of the lowest basketball IQ's in all of basketball.
Yup. People see his crazy athleticism and forget his IQ.
Tyrus makes Klomar look like he belongs in MENSA.
Multiple sources have told Yahoo! Sports that the Celtics are looking to trade Ray Allen for a younger, cheaper guard with an expiring contract.
In doing so, Boston would be able to find a replacement for Allen, 34, without losing him and his $20 million expiring contract for nothing this summer.

If I were Boston I wouldn't try to trade Ray Ray for a package like that, they should try to be maxing out their le chances as long as Pierce and KG have something. IMO a Ray Allen for Antwan Jamison and something else would make more sense.
just dump sheed. he ing sucks. ray allen is a perfect fit for their team. Ya, he's in a slump, but he's a valuable to their team and perfect for the players surrounding him.
This would be a very good trade for them. The reason the Bulls have been "dissapointing" this season is because people thought they would be a huge threat after almost beating the 2008 champs last season.
The major reason for this was the loss of the Bulls best scorer Ben Gordon. Derrick Rose is great but if you close the lane it can be tough for him to score. Ray Allen is not only a great scorer, but he arguably has the best jump shot ever. This would make the Bulls a major playoff dark horse.
A GM should put a team together with J-Ho, T. Thomas, Glen Davis, Drew Gooden and Barea
i really dont want to have to start hating kirk hinrich.
I agree but he has an interesting potential he is putting 10 10 with 2 blks per 20 mn. He is an intruiting player, if only a team could give him 30 mn to see what he can do...
I lol'ed ! it would be interesting
