Cavs’ Gibson out to be with fiancee

Cavaliers point guard Daniel Gibson left the team on Thursday night to be with his pregnant fiancee, singer Keyshia Cole.

Gibson recently moved into the starting lineup, filling in for injured guards Mo Williams and Delonte West. The Cavs announced Gibson’s absence about 30 minutes before their game against the Miami Heat.

Cavs general manager Danny Ferry said Cole, who is expecting her first child with Gibson, has been hospitalized for precautionary reasons. The team did not provide any other details and did not say when they expected Gibson to return.

With Gibson out, LeBron James will start at point with Jawad Williams taking James’ spot.
