Your 2010 Three-Point Shootout Field
SportingNews
Do you like long-range bombs, ball racks, and multicolored basketballs? Then you’ll love the field for this year’s Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout (as announced today in a press release from the NBA)!
Without further ado, your shooters, with this season’s three-point percentages in parentheses: Paul Pierce (.467), Chauncey Billups (.415), defending champion Daequan Cook (.300), Stephen Curry (.429), Danilo Gallinari (.403), and Channing Frye (.438).
In the past, the Three-Point Shootout has been one of the few All-Star Weekend events to showcase the league’s role players, but this year looks a little different. Pierce and Billups are there for star power, Curry and Gallinari are promotable youngsters, and Frye is a true role player. (Cook, unfortunately, has had a rough year in Miami and is only included because he won last season.)
Cook is trying to become the seventh player to win multiple les, joining Mark Price, Jeff Hornacek, Jason Kapono, Peja Stojakovic, Larry Bird, and Craig Hodges.

Billups?! He isn't even the best 3 pt shooter on his own team! FREE AFFLALO!
how does Daniel Gibson not get an invite? He leads the league in percentage
Same thing happened to Bruce Bowen back in like 2003, but Stern was never exactly Spurs-happy like he is with the Cavs.
Daniel Gibson has the state of Texas and a longhorn shaved in his head......and they pick Paul Pierce over him?!
Channing Frye will choke. GuaranSheed.
It's a shamockery that Daniel Gibson isn't in this thing. That young man can flat-out shoot the basketball.
Gallinari is a beast from long range, he's my pick.
The NBA obviously picks guys that are going to be at the All-Star Weekend either way, so that's why they leave out some guys..4 of those guys are going to be in the All-Star Game/Rookie Game and Cook is the defending champion(LOL @ 30%!)..
Frye was probably going to be there for some reason..he's going to choke though, obviously..

No Cavs players are allowed to participate in any skills compe ions simply because should they actaully win it then all the LBJ has nothing but crap surrounding him theories get debuked.
... Gibson should be in
I'd like to Martell Webster in this event. Dude can flat out shoot the rock.
Don't forget rudy!
Lol Forget best shooter on his own team, Chauncey isn't even the best three point shooting "point guard" on his team. Ty Lawson is shooting 43% from three.
But, Chauncey is a great shooter. Although if I recall correctly, he's participated twice already and both times sucked ass. His shooting technique isn't really made for this type of contest. He's slow and deliberate and really sets himself and squares up when he's shooting well. He doesn't have a slow release, but it's not among the quickest either. If there was no time limit, he probably would have a better chance at winning it.
Chauncey's good at shooting 3's and free throws. Everything else is eww, but his TS% is good.
