Knowing how good both of these players would become, if you were the GM of a team and for your franchise player would you rather have a 22 year old Kobe or a 22 year old future best player ever me?

Homeskillet, I'm already better than Kobe and Jordan. Give me Jordans and Kobe's teammates and i'd have 3 by now.

You can pick anyone of them and you'll get almost the same results. Fact is, Lebron and Kobe have almost iden ical stats when they were 22 years old

Lebron's stats when he was 22:

    27.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 6 apg, 1.6 spg, and 47. 6 field goal percentage in 40 minutes

Kobe's stats when he was 22:
25.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 5.5 apg, 1.5 spg, and 46.9 field goal percentage in 38 minutes

Being fair to Kobe, he put up these numbers in a stacked Lakers team that were winning championships. Lebron meanwhile is the only player worth mentioning in his team back in 2006

    - LeBron would play anywhere, not just a pre-selected "big market/good team" location.

    - LeBron would average more than 7.6 points per game as a rookie.

    - LeBron would find a way to co-exist with Shaq.

    - LeBron has proven he can make a historically ty franchise relevant.

    - In an alternate history where the Lake Show drafts an 18-year old LeBron in 1996, they win about a half-dozen LOBs in a row in the 2000's.

    - In an alternate history where the Cavaliers draft an 18-year old Kobe in 2003, Kobe refuses to play in Cleveland and forces a trade.

It is no contest. Wave them rings in our grille; it don't change a thing.

Actually, Kobe had a higher usage % in 2000-2001(22 years old) than Lebron in 2006-2007(22)..so he had slightly more of his teams possessions ran through him..

This is starting a team from scratch, reading is fundamental, rings are thrown out of the window.

Disagree. Everything in Cleveland runs through Lebron. Kobe back then had Shaq and a couple of solid players that he can depend on. Possession-wise, Lebron handles the ball 100 percent of the time

    That's in LeBron's favor.

Shaq's presence required double and somtimes triple teams in 2000-2003

This creates open space to work with for the perimeter guys.

LeBron, as you said, was the only guy worth mentioning on the crappy CAvaliers

which makes LeBron's accomplishments that much harder and meaningful, since opponent's defenses are solely focused on him.
