So when the heck are the Spurs going to be ahead for once?
Spurs are only 2 1/2 games behind Dallas in the division. There's still time for us to turn it around!!! I still have faith in my boys 'til the end.Go Spurs!!!!

So when the heck are the Spurs going to be ahead for once?
And they are only 2 losses away from the 9th seed. Didn't think of that one did you. =P
Problem is...in this division...it might take winning it just to make the playoffs.
if dallas is your goal, then it's over.
I like the positive at ude!
Im a die hard spurs fan, and will never jump off ship, i love the organization, and all they have done for the city of san antonio!
But that being said, they look like a team that has only been playing with eachother for 48+ games! There is def. a problem in san antonio!!!!
And i dont know how they can fix it, other then not losing faith and keep playing hard! Hopefully things start coming together real soon, and the big three and company can restore their championship pedigree!!!!
I still believe they can turn it around, but the Spurs themselves need to believe starting from the water boy , to the coaches to the FO to the players!!!!!!!!
yeah, but I'm just trying to stay positive bc everyone is always so negative. I'm tired of our guys losing close games bc of the lack of execution among other things, but I'm optimistic we'll get it turned around!
Never give up, never surrender
Nothing wrong with that.I was just keeping the perspective real. Honestly though has the playoff race ever been this close? from 2nd to 8th seed I mean.
This team has a iden y crisis...they excel in nothing...nothing to hang their hats on...
In the past they were able to say:
1) we'll D you to death...you will not have a good shooting night against us
2) we have the top 5 players in these positions: PF, SG, PG
3) come crunch time, we will execute our plays...we will not beat ourselves...we will not make mistakes...if a game is close, you will need to play perfect basketball to beat us...
Right we have none of the above other than Duncan being a top 5 PF.
Our biggest improvement, the rise of George Hill, is offset by the decline of Parker and Manu.
RJ brings very little to the table...can't spread the floor, can't play D, can't drive in or create in the half court set...only thing he can do is finish on the break, but unfortunately for him, this isn't a running team, and when they do run, the guy with the ball usually tries to finish the break himself
Its not about jumping off ship but things cannot keep going the way they are going. Last year, Spurs fans cried for a year at how old we were and our reliance on three point shooters who would not hit the shot when it mattered. Spurs fans were right.
This year, the Spurs rely on small ball way to much and have removed the defense completely from our lineups. They cannot win like this and although they might make the playoffs they will probably go down in the first round unless serious changes are made to the rotation. This does not require a trade, but it will require that Pop lose the pride.
I agree, I don't want to settle for the 10th spot come playoff time.
this is like the most re ed kid in the class saying "well at least i'm only a little more re ed than that guy."
hey, you're still RE ED!
mediocrity is rampant in the NBA. it means nothing to be 2 games outta the top seed in the division. this ship is flawed and sinking fast.
you're comparing bad apples with bad apples. in the end they're still bad apples.
..............
This is also the reason why it has been also over for the Mavs this last two years. Their goal was the Spurs.
both of our teams are dreaming. just like we are when they win a game.
It's gonna be tough catching Dallas with losses like last night. I'm also very concerned about our 3 point %'s right now. If a trade for Mason is imminent, that might not be improving anytime soon. We did look good for most of the game, sitting TP out obviously was a mistake. Looked like there was plenty of blame to go around. Two wins in L.A. would do a lot to right the ship.
+1 - no one is going to trade for mason and hand us an equally comparable 3 point specialist in return. if so, he is bound to be even more one dimensional than mason is and that wouldnt help one iota
yeah but we follow up a loss with their loss. besides we have other things to worry about like missing the playoffs.
You are right. Manu and Parker are not top five in their positions this year.
Injuries to Parker has made him a s of the player he was just a year ago.
I still have faith in the spurs...there a good team.....
Spurs have to turn it around or I'm going to be real sick at playoff time. I can't watch playoffs without the Spurs.
I know, last year was brutal![]()
