The Church of Bonner is accepting new members after Bonner got his shot back tonight.

Bonner had some issues on the glass tonight, but it was great to see him hit a few three-pointers again.

He was 3 for 8..I guess it means he's making progress, but he was pretty much automatic before he was hurt..hopefully he can get back to that level if he's going to remain with the Spurs..

Bonner really needs to be shooting 45%+ to really make himself enough of a threat to spread the floor and also make up for his defensive liabilities IMO.

3 out of 8 (37%) ain't quite 45% but it shows he's getting his shot back however. Good to see, I was getting worried it was going to take him the rest of the year to find his shooting touch again.

What needs to be remembered is that when the Spurs play a team that doesn't matter, Bonner can always hit a shot. When they play a team that matters, especially in the playoffs, his shot will disappear.

Actually, having Bonner shooting just 40% from downtown is exactly the same as having a big oaf in the lane shooting 60%, in terms of points on 100 shots, except the big oaf doesn't space the floor for our paint scorers.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Any Clippers game is much more like a spirited practice, but it was still good to see Matt dropping bombs. A lot of this game of basketball is psychological, and Matt needs his confidence/mojo back. Games against bad opponents can help you get back into a rhythm.

No thanks. Not interested in a church that commits mass suicide as soon as the playoffs start.

When has Bonner not had issues on the glass.

    2008-09 4.8 rbs in 23 minutes pergame.
    Dice
    2009-10 5.6 rbs in 21 minutes
    The Beast
    2009-10 6.5 rbs in 18 minutes.
You do the math and dont try to compare his stats this year either, He got solid playing time last year and still isnt good enough to pass out gatorade to blair or Dice IMO.

Tonight, Bonner's +/- was 0. He led all Spurs except Mason Jr. (+3) and McDyess (+1).

    The legend continues!
