The Spurs don't need a statement win at this point, they just need a win. Either they're going to put it together this season or they are not. If they are not, it doesn't matter where they finish, and if they are, all they have to do is make the playoffs.

Your logic makes no sense seeing as how the Spurs beat the Mavericks in San Antonio without Duncan and Parker and proceeded to lose to them in Dallas with the Mavs being shorthanded shortly thereafter.
