Thanks for the vid. Bruno mentioned a while back that Nando has a little of Manu in him. You can really see it here.

Nando is smaller and slower than Manu but he's a smart player too.

He seems to prefer to take the pull up jumper... will like to see more of him going to the basket to see the Manu resemblance that is mentioned.

For those that haven't seen it, here's a video from 2 years ago that shows that he can drive pretty well.

He really does have a lot of Manu in his game.

One thing we didn't see in this clip and that really impresses me with Nando, is his passing skills!!
That's why, even though he doesn't seem to have the highest potential, he can be a real stud in the futur...
His only weaknesses (defense, mental, "regularity" in performances) are things he can work on!

I thought he was slow in general in this video. He also seemed to have a very exposed dribble. i think NBA players would steal the ball from him. I'm usually not negative. I just wasn't impressed by this video.

What are his contract obligations and the likelihood that he'll be able to come over to a tryout in Summer League.

Nando is 6'5, Manu is 6'6. There's not much of a difference.

Nando signed last summer a 2 years contract with an NBA opt out clause after the first year.

Nando won't try out in SL. Players under contracts in Europe aren't allowed to play in SL. Either Spurs sign him to a guaranteed contract and pay the buyout to his team in Spain or Nando won't play the SL.

Please take a look at manu's J before saying someone has slow release..Not saying his jumpshot is better but same mechanics.

You've got to like the balance and composure he displays shooting off the dribble; there's no rushed movement and he never looks in too much of a hurry. (Brandon Roy comes to mind in this particular aspect.)

He's definitely got a flair to his game, a la J-Will, Sergio and even a little Manu, but it'll be interesting to see if his patience and under control nature can thrive with a much better NBA athlete offensively. (defense is going to definitely be an issue, so his offense has to net a gain for him to really have some success)

He's the type of player you hopes succeeds; the skill set would be a lot of fun to watch.

    Slow ass release though....
There are a bunch of players with quick-ass releases that plain ass suck at everything else. The question here is...does he create the space needed to get that shot off? It seems he has enough junk in his game to keep an opposing defender guessing. If his percentages are good, I think they are, then there's hope his game will fit the Spurs. He does have a penchant for flair that's very Manu-like though.

    Wrong............................................. ......

McClinton did not suck ass its just there was no room for the guy... Plus he was under sized, that was the biggest obsticale facing him, not his pure as silk jump shoot....

Now if you wanted to make your case vaild and carry more weight you could have compared him Nando De Colo to lets say the likes of that young guy from orlando.. JJ Re now he has been a bust..

Hate to say it, but mcclinton did suck and even if there was room for him on the roster there is no way he would have made an NBA roster at this point in his career. Re is a damn good NBA shooter, but he was taken high in the draft and people expect more from him for that. Re well be around for a while simply cause the guy can shoot it from anywhere (ala steve kerr)

Red is actually a very solid player for the Magic, he's a significant contributor..not only is he a great shooter, but he's become a solid defender and passer as well since last season..

McClinton CLEARLY sucked in SL, he was absolutely horrible..he had no ability to create space for himself, and he couldn't make the shots when he did..
