Just the "All-Star Game" is at Texas Stadium?

I was looking at nba.com and it shows that all the events for the allstar weekend are at the american airlines center or dallas convention center except for the all star game on sunday. I thought that maybe all the events would take place or try to take place at cowboys stadium and not at american airlines center. Anyone know the reason behind this?

So then it would make more sense to have all the events at Cowboys Stadium correct? Than at AAC?

yep it would... and it would lower the minimum 500 bucks you need to pay to be at the AAC on saturday

They did the same thing at the '89 all-star game in Houston. They had the slam dunk/3pt contest at The Summit and the main event in the Astrodome.

The problem is the area around the big stadium in Arlington is not really well-developed so it wouldn't be a good place to host most of the events because not much to do compared to the downtown area.
