I think David Lee replacing Iverson is a bigger WTF moment.
Seriously, David Lee? Josh Smith should've been there.
lmao ... absolutely pathetic. maybe only half of the players selected deserve to be there.

who would have thought kidd and nash be on all star game in year 2010 lmao
seriously you're considering a stale piece of ham over a 20+10 player, seriously?
Who cares whether or not he's deserving, the All Star game is not that big a deal... if he was selected to an all-NBA team at the end of the season then you could ... Kidd's having a solid year and he can make the All Star game more entertaining.
Kidd will put down clubs for All-Star Game
DALLAS -- Mark Cuban said it took a little lobbying from the Dallas Mavericks to get Jason Kidd an invitation to his 10th All-Star Game.
"But once we laid it out, [NBA officials] were really excited about it," Cuban said.
Kidd, who planned on spending the break at his Arizona home, wasn't so excited initially when Cuban called to ask him to return to Dallas.
"I’m golfing. It’s 70 degrees," Kidd told Cuban. "What do you want me to come back for?"
Cuban's reply: "No. 10."
Upon hearing that, Kidd immediately agreed to get back to Dallas, although not necessarily as soon as possible.
"Can I leave tomorrow morning?" he asked Cuban. "I need to get another round of golf in."
Tyreke Evans got screwed cause he is a rookie and his team blows. He is practically putting up 20-5-5.
Are they just pulling names out of a hat now or what?
Playing for the Knicks=JUNK STATS
Josh Smith>David Lee in terms of impact and showmanship. Also what kind of a center averages 0.4 BPG?
No one wants to see that pale, boring tall glass of poop juice over there. Its bad enough the West already has Kaman.
ESPN thinks that Dirk will replace Kome in the starting lineup. That means the lineup will be
1. Nash
2. Melo
3. Dirk
4. Amare
5. Duncan
LOL at 7 footer playing SF
Amare should be subbed out immediately.
We traded an injury prone scrub on a 4 win team for an All Star

David Lee and, somehow, Jason Kidd added to All-Star rosters
By Kelly Dwyer
(You just know they're shaking on something nefarious. You know it. Pays off 16 years later.)
First off, the expected, and not altogether unfortunate news (save for the hundreds of thousands of dolts who voted him in): Allen Iverson will not be playing in this Sunday's All-Star Game because of personal reasons. With his daughter still worryingly ill, Iverson will be at his family's side. All our best to the Iversons.
Now, the not altogether expected but quite unfortunate news: Kobe Bryant's ankle, back, flu and finger will keep him out of the same game. Dammit. Say what you want about all his injuries and the non-significance of this game, but it would be nice to have one of the more potent all-around guards in NBA history playing in this contest.
The replacements? David Lee in the East.
Seriously? Over Josh Smith? Smith has been, well, way better this year, but Lee has had an All-Star caliber season. Damn, but I can understand.
For the West?
Jason Kidd.
Are you [think of a series of people spooning out the pit of an avocado all at once -- rhymes with that] me?
Jason Kidd?!?
Can't guard anyone, still passable as an NBA starter, Jason Kidd?
Look, I'm quite smitten with Kidd's continued fine play, but this is ridiculous. There is an entire basketball roster's worth of players who have had better years out West than Kidd who won't be making this team.
Grandfathered in? He's ancient, and this is basketball. We don't get to stick him in right field for an inning, mates. This is a guy who is going to have to stay in front of Derrick Rose!
Giving the nod for his Dallas roots?
Oh, that makes sense. After, he's been a Mav for the last 23 months, and once forced his way out of the city with his complaints and poor relationship with his teammates back in 1996. Makes sense.
Jason Kidd. Love his play, but Jason Kidd?
(But he can throw a lob, Kelly!)
Just stop it. You see, there's this kid out in Sacramento that I don't think you've seen play yet ...
More deserving guards: Evans, Brooks, Westbrook, Gay, Parker
More deserving big men: Boozer, Landry, Marc Gasol
This pick is beyond idiotic. Why in the world does Stern make the choice, why not choose someone that got votes from coaches but barely missed the cut?
the east is also bad enough that they already have D-Whistle who only lives on flopping and fluke shots.
Kidd choice is just laughable.
Just as a Spurs fan, there is Tony who is having a clearly better year and you can even argue that Manu isn't inferior to him.
Add the 13 others west teams (others than spurs and mavs), and the Kidd choice is just![]()
Home cooking, or the talent pool is drying up. Where's Deron Williams? Hopefully on the bench at worst or picked by coaches.
Bull now that Devin Brown was traded to the EAST...he would have been a shoe-in for the West in this AllStar game!

Now that Kobe is out, just hand Lebron the ASG MVP award.
On the team......
