best game played by the spurs this season. the defense looks great.
Now, Pop will go small ball and let Denver back in the game. He can't help himself. He is a smallballaholic.

PRETTY sure I saw Birdman on the original Debbie Does Dallas.
Just been watching the last 1/2 hour and the Spurs look fantastic. But can they keep it up for a whole game?
Believe!!!
get over it already!won't play it until we're up just 5...

Blair's handles are terrible, he needs to stick around the basket to do his Hakeem impression. Anything out of 5 feet give it to the PG.
Who are these guys and what have they done to the Spurs?
hmmm, spurs on a good run and with no small ball used yet. Coincidence I think not.
Who dat (team out there and what'd they do with the Spurs)!?!?
Who the are those guys in a black uniform? They surely play with heart and desire. I've never seen them before.
Rj needs to stay on the bench
This is amazing. I'm loving the defense and the energy on offense. Plus Tim gets rest!
Glad the Nuggets didn't come to play today.
67% to 36% shooting . . . there will be regression to the mean. Spurs need to keep hustling.
Good solid Spurs basketball.. The Beast is doing some good stuff.. George Hill is playing up to Pop's season long flattery, Mason is hitting his shots, Bonner is showing hustle, the second unit is playing tight defense, Manu is rolling and Duncan is getting all the rest he wants while shooting and defending efficiently when he is playing. Good start. Good start. Now don't screw this up in the second half - especially in the dreaded third quarter!
the funny thing is that a lot of the poster on this forum really think highly of C. Andersen... i personally feel that this guy is one of the most overrated defender in this league... yes, he's good at shot blocking, but his man to man defense is just horrible especially against stronger players. last year in the playoff, i saw him getting dominated by P. Gasol, L. Odom, and A. Bynum when matched up... now he's getting dominated by a 6-7 rookie.
would pay 100 bucks to get to see Mahimni play 20 minutes tonight![]()
Here comes midget ball.. I can sense it...
I'm not a huge fan of this Bonner - Blair combo, but at least it's not small ball... Now, if only we could get some spot minutes for Theo Ratliff, somewhere in the low-teens. Even if he played every game from here on out (which he won't) it's still less games than last season in Philly so I don't see what the big deal is (assuming we're holding him out because he's fragile). If he crumbles he crumbles, but at least he'll be worked into our offense in situations beside practice.
Blair's handles are deceptive because it looks like he's doing something very complicated but it's only because he's moving his body a lot.
LOL at the Nuggets having a hard time getting motivated to play us. Seen this show before. We look good now but these are the types of games the Spurs find ways to lose.
This season has made me a Debi Downer. I'll believe in this version of the boys once they string about 10 or 12 games in a row with a similar effort. , just play this way for 2 halves !
EVERY big man wants to cross their opposing big man out of his high tops.
Bonner is the only other "big" out there
I hope the real Spurs don't show up in the second half.
