Kidding! I'm just jealous.

...and lots of it. It's probably not much to some of our posters up north, but it's the biggest snow storm East Texas has seen in better than 20 years. I'd say we got somewhere between 6-8 inches.
I just go through making the 25mph trek to work. I took some pictures and I will post them later when I get home. How do things look for you Dallas folks?
Kidding! I'm just jealous.

8 inches....![]()
Lots of snow here.
My area got 11 inches or so. Crazy. Work got canceled today because of the ice that formed last night.
WOW pretty cool !
In Dallas? You're crazy. There's no ice on the roads to even be remotely concerned. Nothing but slush.
Well, I am just reporting that my office closed. The news last night said ice formed because there was a lot more moisture than expected. Most everywhere is either closed or had delayed openings until 11.
San Antonio native; moved up here to PA in '05; in the past week: ~38 inches!
AND - despite today's forcast for some Sun (although still high in the mid 20's) - it's snowing right now!
They closed UNT yesterday at noon and it's closed all day today. The snow hasn't even started to melt yet at my apt.
Got a foot of snow here. A foot. of. snow. I have to look outside just to verify I'm not crazy before I type that.
Thank God for Global Warming or else it would really be bad...
Huh. The snow melted pretty quick over in Addison. Not completely melted but a good chunk. Should all be gone by afternoon tomorrow. Darn
We are running out of room to put our snow. That crap is piled up everywhere.
Any freezing rain yet? When I was over there in 2007 you had a week of that. I took some real cool pics of it, and nearly got killed by falling ice. How many people get killed by falling ice (from powerlines and trees) after freezing rain events I wonder?
El Nino, dip . Changes the course of the jet stream. Extensively do ented. You know better.
Whats this snow business you people are talking about.
I know. The climate is always changing, naturally.
Why cant you alarmists understand that?
Alright...here's a few pics. As I said, it's probably nothing to those north of Texas, but it's the first meaningful snow we have had here in 22 years.
Standing on my porch.
Looking into the yard next door. The house at the bottom of the hill is the house I grew up in.
Looking into my back yard.
And of course...when you haven't seen snow since grade school, you have to create something. So here is my contribution.

You haven't seen snow
Most single day snowfall in metroplex history
it was the best snow that could have possibly snowed...wish i had the day off i would have played all ing day
There was little or no wind...and the temperature itself was not painfully cold. The snow was a steady gentle downfall. For twenty four straight hours.
Supposedly some carports in coppell collapsed because of all the snow. I was outside a couple nights ago and this huge tree branch collapsed from the weight. Awesome.
Same here. I have a mountain of snow next to my driveway that was about 6' high a couple of days ago.
