I dont like Jennings. He is a ballhog and has big mouth...
yeh watching the game, it was very clear that Jennings was trying to prove he could play (but to do this he had to sacrifice playing with the team....he completely never looked for the pass unless he was trapped and had to give up the ball).

Guys like Jennings don't play on great teams and there's a reason for that.

I also wanted to make another point... it's pretty clear how the NBA wanted the "story" to be told. You look at NBA.com's version of last night's game which tries to dismiss Blair off. 'Jennings and Evans set the tone.... fans chanted MVP for Blair...however Jennings and Evans set the pace and tone'.

Compare that to the AP's version of the story which ESPN is running, is vastly different and tells how Blair lead the rookies to victory.

As a fan of basketball it's just alarming that the NBA continues to undermine the game for their foolish belief of what makes them profitable.

You never see this happen in the NFL.

I think part of the problem is no one knows about Blair...YET. Check out how the local news paper listed him as a 1st round pick.

It's a rookie challenge, i'm sure Dejuan doesn't really care about a meaningless MVP, he got one of a sick dunk though.

Jennings should have been barred from the game for that ridiculous Gumbi 'do. Someone thought that would be a good look?
Outside of Blair, the Jennings hairstyle was one of the only things worth seeing last night.

That was so Bobby Brown circa 1990-91, but then had a big ass gash taken off the top with a weed wacker or some . Not good.
Way off. Best fro since Tupac in Juice:

DeJuan BlairF | San Antonio Spurs
    A+
In a game where no one is making an effort to box out you knew Blair would gobble up some boards and he looked like he had glue on his hands. Once he's a full-time starter for the Spurs (or someone else) he will lead the league in rebounding. Love the fact he played hard and showed some handle.

I thought he meant winning the MVP, not sharing it. Sounded to me like he didn't want to give props to blair.

Evans gesture was great, and he also deserved the MVP. He had mad moves all night.

Evans is going to be a beast in 3 years. Big, physical PGs don't come along that often. It was a VERY cool gesture for him to want to share the award with DeJuan. Apparently, there were some rumblings in Sacto that he was a ball hog. I don't think ball hogs want to share anything, so that's probably sour grapes from someone with less talent.

Might be somebody in Sacramento who would be upset and/or threatened by Evans' success.

Although I can't imagine who that would be.
