This would just be scary, although I wonder how it would work with Shaq..
Getting Stoudemire would be a huge upgrade over getting Jamison or Troy Murphy(LOL), so if they can do it, go for it..
The King would finally have the #2 option he's always been missing..
Good thing there is only one ball, the only thing the lakers could do to beat this cavs team is trade Bynum for Wade, theres rumors that wade wont return to Miami and that Miami knows this, but it would never happen
Meh, Lakers still have a good chance at beating them..
The key will be for Gasol and Bynum to man up though..they've both played like pussies against the Cavs this season, like they're scared of Shaq..
Holy .
Shaq just CAN'T get his fifth ring on this team. The basketball gods won't allow it...
[nervous gulp]
Shaq's 5th ring doesn't mean much at this point..he's going to be the 4th option or worse on some nights..nobody remembers players for that, although of course Shaq will talk about it all the time..
It's like on Inside The NBA when they were making fun of Gary Payton for not having a ring, forgetting he won one with Miami as like the 4th/5th option..
That's a no-brainer for Cleveland. God, and then Ilgauskas back too? I wonder how Shaq will take it and vice versa though.
yep, Amare and Shaq frontline worked out great for the Suns
I don't get it, the best team in the league wants to screw with chemistry? Bodes well for the rest of the league if this goes through.
Yeah, in a Lakers-Cavs finals, I'd be rooting for LA.![]()
yess, thanx, we need everybody to root for us![]()
You make a solid point, but I'll never underestimate that jackass' ego.
And, odds are, he'll find some ridiculous 5th gear once the playoffs roll around, complete w/ a few power dunks and atleast 1 dive for a loose ball into the crowd, and EVERYone will talk about Shaq as some kinda X-factor, even though he had no real part in getting them there during the season, much less sustaining them throughout the POs...
...and then I'll ing shoot myself.
Root for the Lakers?Never. LBJ hasn't forced anyone to have sex with him yet, except maybe David Stern, so therefore i would rather cheer for him
![]()
Ugh. I'll be right there w/ ya, cheering on LA through clinched teeth.
This is shaping up to be one of the most painful postseasons in recent memory.
FMSFL
I don't mind the Cavs at all, they're a likable team..
Lebron is like the anti-Kobe when it comes to everything personality-wise, Mike Brown is a former Spur, they play like the 2003 Spurs with Duncan as the unselfish superstar and everybody fits into the system around 'Bron, they have great teamwork and share the ball around, they have fun while winning..
Shaq's the only blemish to their team, but I don't dislike him as much as so many Spurs fans here do..he's not important enough on this team to really matter that much IMO..
The Lakers are just an unlikable team in every way..although Laker fans that post here are being way too nice and normal lately, I wonder what the deal is..
what the man
fingers crossed this doesnt go down
wow! Cleveland is about to start charging for every toilet flush just to keep up with Lebron's demands![]()
I thought the Cavs would be cheered on by most Spurs fans. Hasn't Mike Brown tried to replicate what Pop has brought to the Spurs?
Mike Brown is nothing but a Lebron fanboy w/ a dream job. His antics after each and every one of Lebron's impressive performances are borderline pornographic. Had Pop dropped to his knees each time Timmy put up decent numbers, he'd garner just as MUCH respect from me.
Compound that w/ the idiotic bench behavior and Shaq's coattail-riding, and yeah...I find it surprisingly easy to root against them no MATTER the opponent.
lol
Thats it for the NBA season, hope everyone had fun.![]()
Shaq. He's shown nothing but disrespect to the Spurs, from Robinson not signing his autograph (bull , David signed for me many many times when I asked him respectfully), to the WNBA comment on Letterman, to all the he's talked about Duncan and how he's gonna get that fifth ring before him, and so on. Kobe's been nothing but respectful to the Spurs and their fans, so I'd much rather see him get #5 than that fat .
I don't like the Lakers and most of their players, but yes Kobe has been very respectful to the Spurs and fans like you said.
O'neal is a straight up asshole. The big coattail O'neal.
How about if the Cavs get Amare we lend the Lakers TD. Then Shaq can watch both Kobe and Tim get number 5 before him at the same time.
Their regular season record is fool's gold just like last year's was.
