Interesting fact. Jordan wasn't considered the GOAT until after his career was over.
Just be thankful that your boy had 0 les before a Top 50 helped him get there.
interesting fact pippen wasn't considered a top 50 player of all time when jordan won his first le.
Just be thankful that your man has 1 le.

wrong answer
Proof?
Unless you consider the abortion years at the Wizards a part of his GOAT career.
Do you really bealive that thing you just said?
I clearly remember announcers talking about Jordan beign the greatest ever during his last three peat in Chicago.
Chicago announcers will always say their player is great.
Jordan was not recognized as the GOAT until his 6 rings.
Please provide some proof that he was GOAT before then.
I've never heard the Chicago announcers. I'm from Argentina, the ESPNDEPORTES announcers were the ones calling MJ the greatest player of all time everytime they called a Bulls game. MJ has been the GOAT ever since I can remember, that means 1995/96.
I live in the USA and had never heard of Jordan being GOAT prior to his 6 rings.
Proof please...any articles calling him the GOAT?
How old are you bro? Ill give you a clue.
Espn, Sports illustrated and CNN sportscasters were dubbing him Jordan as the GOAt even before winning his first le.
Proof? Michael Jordan videos.

That's like me saying "Kobe is the GOAT, just look at his videos".
Billions of articles on the Internet and you guys don't even have one link to Jordan the GOAT prior to his 6th le?
Not even one (1) single link on the Greatest Player of of ALL Time?
C'mon guys step up your game.![]()
Well you said "articles" so I actually stepped my game up and provided videos. I recommend you watch those videos, because it has excerpts from different magazines (Sports Illustrated, Sporting News) along with major broadcasting networks like ESPN and CNN (late 80's and early 90's) saying Jordan was indeed the GOAT.
But I dont expect you to understand what im saying unless you've seen these videos in full length.![]()
You would think the Greatest of All Time would have even 1 article on him (before his sixth le).
I guess not.
If you really think about it who in their right mind would call Jordan (with 0 les) the GOAT after witnessing a decade of Bird, Magic, Kareem?
This is worse than Andrew Wilt Jabar Bynum![]()
So you'd rather have written 'articles' thats most likely not on the web because it was published in the 80's rather than an actual video from reputable networks?
Laker fans![]()
Yes. If Jordan was a GOAT with 0 les, they would have written about it. They would have referenced it but it's nowhere to be found.
I can find you plenty of articles written about the GOAT after his six les.
You don't seriously believe anybody would call Jordan the GOAT with 0 rings? 0 rings?
That's like all the Andrew Wilt-Jabar Bynum talk.
C'mon man, Bird, Magic, Kareem ruled the 80's, they would have slapped them silly writing about "Jordan the GOAT with 0 les".
Ten thousand Kobes:

I'm not going to go google and research, but I'm sure there were plenty of people, articles, "experts" arguing Jordan was the GOAT before his 6th ring. I'm sure after his third le, there were some people arguing that. Now, I'm sure it wasn't consensus among everyone, but I'm sure there were people saying it, writing it, and arguing it. After his third le, he already had three rings, three Finals MVPs, and three League MVPs, 1 DPOY at the age of 29/30. There were people calling him the GOAT before he got his 6th le. Very likely, as early as after his third le and he retired for that first time.
Absolutely true.
From the June 28, 1993 issue of SI:
Is Michael Jeffery Jordan simply the best basketball player in the history of the planet? No matter what you think of Jordan as person, as a role model, as a shoe salesman, or even as a high-stakes gambler, you know the answer to that question: yes. A resounding yes.

You can't be the GOAT when there's still debate about it.
Jordan wears 'greatest' crown
By David DuPree, USA TODAY

This should settle it once and for all: Michael Jordan, who will play in his final NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, is the greatest basketball player ever. Any scale that is used to measure a player's greatness is flawed and open to interpretation, but USA TODAY factored in every aspect of the game to come up with the greatest player and the all-time All-Star team of greatest players. Just as in All-Star voting, the greatest team was selected by points at the positions, not overall points.

You were suggesting there wasn't any talk at all before his 6th. Zero.
You only asked for one before the 6th le. The post above you gave you 1.
Now you changed your argument. You would think the Greatest of All Time would have even 1 article on him (before his sixth le).
Changed my argument my ass. Learn to read.
Read the quote. It says best "PLAYER".
I said the "GOAT". MJ is the GOAT not only because of what he did on the basketball quote. He is the GOAT because of what he did on the court and off the court for the game. I wasn't asking if he was the "best player".
"No matter what you think of Jordan as person, as a role model, as a shoe salesman, or even as a high-stakes gambler, you know the answer to that question: "
Step up your game Jammy.

You're going to try to make the case that "best basketball player in the history of the planet" and GOAT don't describe the same thing?
They don't.
Do you actually think Jordan is the GOAT just because of what he did on the basketball court?![]()
The article from 2003 that you quoted just above only used his basketball exploits to place the greatest crown on his head.
Semantics? Really? A semantical argument? Twist your argument much?
This is the first time you started talking about Michael Jordan "off the court" and what he did for basketball as what you meant by GOAT, and yet early on in this discussion topic, you yourself SPECIFICALLY used the word "player."
Come on. Now you're just trying not to be wrong by adding an addendum to your argument to alter the meaning of what you actually were talking about and trying to say "greatest" is different from "best." Come on, bro. Are you serious right now, bro?
I'd say "step up your game" but you already cut off both your legs yourself.
