The recent trade with wizards wasn't considered a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over what we lost in that trade, at it's finest it's a minimal amendment for the Mavs squad if it's not as bad as another "lateral move". No matter how and where you got the screwed news about Mavs fans acting big for making such a deal.
Plus, Stack and JET both functioned well during the first several years after joining Dallas and Stack also had contributed a lot for our success in 05-06 season despite the final judgment by refs. and Jet is still doing fine.

Actually we won a game in that series somehow last year.
No reason to be over the luxury tax if the team is not going far. Can't blame the team for trading Hilton, Devin Brown, Bobby Brown, Antonio Daniels, and Rasual Butler.
Even if Chris Paul leaves, Darren Collison can start in his place and we can use all that money to build a new nucleus.
David West won't get more than 9.9 million after 2011. He won't opt out.
Mavs haven't been close to contending since the loss in the Finals. The following seasons have been very similar to what the Hornets did last season.
West has a 7,5 option in 11/12, of course he gonna walk away from that.
1st round spank vs semi-finals that are going 2-2 if the refs dont give it to the Nuggets with that "non-foul" Wright/Anthony.
