Since Shanon Brown has been a Laker, the team has been winning. We won the championship due to his aquisition. We lost to Boston in 2008 cuz there was no Shanon Brown on the team.
Therefore, Shanon Brown is the MVP for the last two years. Gasol couldnt win a le before Brown came and the Lakers are 4-0 without Kobe because Brown is subbing for kb24.

Beating the Warriors tonight was far from impressive. The Lakers almost lost at home to a team that was 4-22 on the road. The Lakers have over-achieved the past few games. When a star player goes down teams often play above their means in the short term. Opposing teams also let down when they see the star player is out. All of that comes back down to earth over time. If Kobe were to be out long term you would see the losses piling up.
Well this is what happens when you get a second franchise player for peanuts in a trade.
You know the economy cannot be all that bad when 9 million dollars, a talented young center, a gun waving point guard, and several draft picks are considered peanuts.

so if no kobe, then replace those 23 million with other players, how about 5 good role players each making around 4 million
