Of course.
Grizzlies considering Mason?
Around the NBA, some team officials are privately wondering: After listening to San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich disparage them over Pau Gasol’s trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, would the Memphis Grizzlies be hesitant on making a deal with the Spurs?
After all, veteran shooter Roger Mason is available in San Antonio and Memphis needs some scoring off its bench. Yes, sources say, the Grizzlies do have an interest with Mason and have the cap space to absorb much of his $3.7 million salary. But a league source says Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace still needs the OK from owner Michael Heisley to take on the contract.
Mason has fallen out of the Spurs’ rotation and the organization is working with his agent, Mark Bartelstein, to find a trade.

This is probably what is going to happen.
Lock this thread, already been posted in the multiple trade threads...
For a top 59 protected second round pick.
It's a plausible deal.
Grizzlies have woeful scoring off the bench. Mason would provide good offense for them.
But at the same time, as bad as the Grizz bench is on offense, they're even worse on defense and Mason doesn't help them there.
I have been organizing a prayer group to bring in Marc Gasol.
Slap Pop in the face Grizz. Give him the other Gasol to shut his face about Pau!
Who could we get from the Grizzlies?
Ha ha, yeah right.
Old news and in a different thread...
lol
that's what we'll need to land gasol
Don't be mean, you have Thabeet and Gasol, share one of them. Please. =)
half the bench
A certain fat gun-toting point guard is probably what the Spurs can look forward to.
Damn, too bad they already cut Iverson. That would be a move in the Van Exel/Damon Stoudamire/Charlie Ward tradition.
god i hate the way pop is running this team
If there's one guy I want from the Grizzlies, it has to be Hamed Haddadi. This guy is a lot better than everyone thinks. He's just not getting enough playing time because he has to compete with a lot of big men in the Grizzlies team. Fact is, Haddadi has solid fundamentals, is a legit 7'2 guy and before everyone forgets, he was the leading rebounder in the 2008 Olympics. He also runs the floor very well. Call me crazy but after seeing this guy play, he's a lot better than Thabeet at this stage of their career
Tell the bleeping Grizzlies that if they want Mason, they can make a trade to get bleeping Pau Gasol back and then trade him to the Spurs for bleeping Roger Mason. Thank you.![]()
eh, the griz are loaded with height. i wouldn't mind steven hunter. he doesn't have a great skillset but atleast he's 7'. zach randolph's contract is probably too big to trade for though
Supposedly Conley is on the market. Everyone kept crying for a third PG early in the season.
So my beloved brethren are we all in one accord? Let us fast until the ending of the trade deadline. Let us ask that we are blessed with Marc gasol. Let us bow our heads.
Please don't let Mike Conley be our trade..
