The issue with Mason is simple: he went from an injury induced 30 minutes, a role he wasn't supposed to have to begin with, to 20 minutes, a role he was always supposed to have, and he did not like it. Especially with this being a contract year.
On no good team in this league is he a 25+ minute rotational player. He's great to come in, make shots and help spread the floor.
Edit: I don't think though that he is a cancer. He just wants to play and the only thing he may be guilty of is overvaluing his game.
