They said the building housed the FBI but they are now saying that the FBI is another building. FBI is saying right now terrorism is not involved.
These terrorists are getting lazy.
I doubt this would be a terroist act. There are other buildings you would think they would target in Austin, not this small building that is in North Austin. If it was downtown I would say yeah maybe.
'twas kidding.
For some reason, I can't see terrorists focusing their attack on Austin, Tx. Unless they were going for the capital building or something.
Yeah I agree. They are now saying there are reports that some people saw the plane flying out of control and barely missed powerlines.
The complex houses FBI and IRS offices. Just sayin'.
but not the building that was hit
I work right down the road from it... felt/heard the boom - scary
I never said they were the brightest crayons in the box - much like you.
I am sure it was. I am glad you are okay.
Inside job!
They are saying the pilot had some IRS issues. He set his house on fire and got in his plane and tried to hit the IRS building.
That's too bad, but it's strange because it looks like near perfect flying conditions out there.
I was just coming to mention that... hearing the same story.
My older brother works in that area, just got a text from him saying he's OK.
Ive passed that building thousands of times and still have no idea what kind of offices those are.
Wife and kid had to be rescued from that burning home. WTF
Oh my gosh! How awful!
it IS the tallest capitol building in the US (that statement includes the federal capitol building).
With the wife and kid, I wonder if he was trying to kill the wife so that she wouldn't have the IRS problems. . . the kid because it wouldn't have any parents.
SUPPOSEDLY.....
He fought with the wife before all of this went down... but it was planned. Again... SUPPOSEDLY... he set the cat on fire, then set the house on fire, drove to Georgetown, stole a plane (or used his own), flew it directly into the building. Name has been released, they found a manifesto at the hangar at the airport which is already circulating locally... a bunch of ranting about the IRS, blah blah blah.
Coworker has an IRS friend who works at that building... supposedly the one unaccounted is a field worker who also works from home a lot so they're hoping he wasn't there.
The IRS was probably going to take his house and his plane (if it was his) The office is supposidly the IRS "last resort" office. Not sure what that means but doesnt seem good .
you mean that flamingly gay dude?
