Nothing, I guess, if you accept that his "professorship" was not a serious position, but a sinecure for a rising political star.
In the academic world, if you don't publish, you perish.
so if obama had tenure at university of chicago and nothing to show for it as far as published papers go then it would be strange. but since that is not the case....

Obama doesn't really make much hay out of his academic career, does he? It's just a line item on the CV, like Harvard Law Review.
I never said it was the first time it happened. But it's still strange that at no point in his academic career---you have to include his time as president of Harvard Law Review---did he publish anything of substance. Probably intentional; if I wanted to be president, I guess I'd have done the same.
I don't know about that. I guess I've heard way too much from my liberal friends about how he was a cons utional law professor and why that's supposed to be reassuring.

A matter of perspective, I suppose. I can't recall that anyone ever expressed that to me, though that would be odd.
There just doesn't seem to be anything out there of Obama's past. I mean, we heard about Bill and Hillary's college days and even saw pictures of them during that time. We all heard (over and over and over) about GWB's college days and about the socialites he dated. We know that Tommy Lee Jones was Al Gore's roommate; heck, we even heard stories about people who supposedly bought drugs from Laura Bush. We know about GWB's and John Kerry's GPA - but there is virtually NOTHING about Obama!
Don't you find that strange? It's as if his past was invented. As popular as he was during the campaign, don't you think someone would've come forward and said "hey, I was in his _________ class, or I was a dormmate or a fraternity brother or an old girlfriend of Barak's". But there's little to no information about him, except what he wrote in his two books.
I find that very strange and wonder why we know so little about the man. And why would he spend $1.8 million to keep his birth certificate hidden, when it would be so easy to just produce the original. I think he's hiding a lot of stuff - and the MSM media is his willing accomplice.
translation: I have no idea what I'm typing, but will use any opportunity or topic to bash the president with pure speculation/conjecture. it's the christian way after all.

How about you answer my questions first. Did I miss all those "human interest" stories about Obama? Why haven't we heard from any of his college buddies or classmates? He and Mic e weren't high school sweethearts - so are you telling me he didn't date at all in college or law school? Heck, he was an admitted druggie, yet we haven't heard anything about his dealer - but we heard all kinds of stuff about GWB - much of it untrue.I'm still looking for his REAL birth certificate...

Why isn't the MSM media digging up any information on Obama's past? Isn't that what investigative journalists do?
I have no idea what he's hiding, I just think there's a lot we don't know about him - and I wonder why.

I say this sadly, but what you want is:
1) Other people to dig for you
2) No digging is deep enough for you, case in point: You know he's a druggie, which in this political circus, it's a big ing black spot (no phun intended). But that's not enough for you. You want more. you're obsessed with the guy. Who was his dealer? How many times did he snort coke? Did Bill Ayers supply him?
3) You're simply not open to the possibility that maybe there isn't much more on him. Maybe he doesn't have as many skeletons in his closet as YOU do.
And at the end of the day, the reason I said it's sad, is that the reason why you're looking for this stuff is to have more ammo for cheap talk. Your obsession and hate for this guy reaches such levels that you even subscribe to conspiracy theories. Which speaks volumes of your sanity overall.
Maybe you should be complaining to Sean Hannity because you're not getting enough of your Obama hate fix...
Who saves college essays? Any self-respecting college student uses them as rolling papers once they're handed back.
That's a pretty dumb student if he uses that for rolling paper. Ruins the taste.
