Is that true? That's a pice with potential, though we have now hit our quota of short guards on the team. I hope this is true.
Disappointed to lose a big man, but Augustin has a ton of potential.

Ratliff and Haislip gone, Hairston in the D-League, Mahinmi excluded from the rotation, Jefferson and McDyess our front office was probably listening to offers for... this season has not been the greatest, to say the least.
Assuming they find a spot for Mason, maybe the idea is to have parker and hill in the starting 5 and Augustin coming off the bench with gino to lead the second unit.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgnsThe San Antonio Spurs have traded center Theo Ratliff(notes) to the Charlotte Bobcats in a salary-cap dump, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Ratliff was making the league minimum $1.3 million, which lessens the Spurs’ luxury-tax bill.

Bogans and Hairston maybe?
The only possible trade was for Stephan Graham or Derrick Brown. My guess would be it was for no player just a conditional second round pick.
augustin has potential. he'll be a solid backup pg for now and maybe starting quality later. only concern is his size.
Source says = some dude on a fansite.

Someone should have told him not to wear shoes and don't dunk....
We picked up future considerations
CIA Pop strikes again!
if you go to the Bobcat's yahoo sports page it says
Spurs send Ratliff to Bobcats
February 18, 2010 (Yahoo! Sports)
The Bobcats get a veteran big man in Theo Ratliff while the Spurs get luxury-tax relief...
but the link to the article doesn't work yet
You guys are ing idiots. DJ Augustin... you guys are idiots.
Those considerations should be first dibs on Tyrus Thomas this summer.
it looks like a straight up salary dump. salaries don't match, more players would have to be involved and only ratliff was mentioned. spurs probably get a future top 50 protected 2nd round pick.
I knew someone would go this way!

I hope they traded him for a kick to the ing nuts. I know who I want to kick.
