Also, does anyone know what the casualty/injury list was like? That building got torched so I expect there to a number of injuries and possible deaths.
All of this is unreported, so don't take it as 100% true if it ends up being off, but everything I've been told so far has held up.

The plane directly hit a break room, which saved a lot of casualties (I know, imagine that, government employees not being in a break room during the work day)... there was an office next door which had three people in it. One person was the reported death (appears to be the only one so far, along with pilot), one was severely burned, lost his nose, bad injuries, then the third broke a few bones and had minor burns. I'm not sure where the other injuries came from, but I believe there were 13, 14 injured and just the one dead.

While the single death is unfortunate, it's absolutely incredible that the death toll isn't in the double digits - especially when you look at the building as a whole.

I couldn't stand all the "criminal profilers" on TV talking about how his "constricted view" of options and obvious insanity caused this and how we all need to watch our neighbors more carefully because the Intel Community can't stop people like this unless they are reported by just normal folks like you and me...

But I ask, at what point do you report someone for a "constricted view" of options instead of helping to open up their options. Maybe it's because when you try to help them you realize everything is a ed up and no one wants to listen and work toward a solution? This looks all too convenient to blame on the anti-government/Tea party crowd...dude just tweeked out (he ed about the murder of people by government and healthcare industry, but tried to kill people himself), and now his alleged words are being used selectively to show us all that the people next door could be home grown terrorists.

Two bodies, one of which is presumedly the kamikaze pilot, and one other person.

    14 injured.

I have a direct connection with the building that was attacked yesterday and the one casualty within the IRS. The plane hit the persons office directly, and not a break room. The plane hit the side where the collection officers work and many collection officers work flexiplace (at their home) or out in the field, which probably saved a lot of innocent lives.

I agree with you that it is absolutely incredible that the death toll isn't in the double digits - especially when you look at the building as a whole.

I think he hit that retaining wall under the building first and that lessened the impact on the building itself. I drive on that access road almost every day to get to my girlfriend's place about 3 blocks away. It looked surreal last night with all the floodlights on it.

According to a graphic in the Statesman much of the area where the plane hit was space currently for lease. Doesn't help the guy who was in the office that was not for lease but it could have been much worse.

Had to be bald. No other reason to wear a hat like that.
