If Spurs had Dirk after the 2003 Finals they win les for fun.
If we add Richard Jefferson and Antonio McDyess to the Spurs we become a very good basketball team...wait.

Does Argentina win gold with Dirk instead of Manu or do the Spurs win in '05 with Nowitzki instead of Ginobili?

    I don't think so.
I think so. Regards to your Nazi grandfather, whom your fellow argies harbored after WWII and kept him out of harms way long enough to plant the seed for your mother.

He's leading the Spurs right now. Watch any of the Spurs games and see who's got the ball in his hands at the last seconds.

You honestly think that adding Dirk would be the same as RJ? Wow..

    Dirk/Duncan rivals the Shaq/Kobe 1-2 punch.

I'm saying that what looks good in paper doesn't always translate to reality.

In 2005 it was hard to find a better teammate for Duncan than Ginobili.

Ginobili was an unselfish and efficient scorer (1.5 pts per fg attempt, better if the game was an important one), that could take charge in the clutch and one of his biggest strenghts was playing the pick and roll with the bigmen.

Ginobili complemented Duncan in almost every aspect of the game.

You'd think the Nazis would have had them like a fellow countryman a little more.

Manufan wouldn't trade prime Manu for Michael Jordan.

    0, ergo Manu > Jordan.

How the did this thread get to 5 pages, anyways? Manu fan must believe that Jason Terry, Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse and Josh Howard are perennial All Stars, since Dallas has been giving San Antonio the brown-eye when the Spurs apparently have the two best players on the court at all times.

I believe that Dirk is better offensively but Manu is better overall. He can carry a team in his prime, he has exellent IQ and ultra compe ive. But you can't compare two player in different positions.
Manu cannot carry a team on his own.
He couldn't even log big minutes without breaking down.
