hey if the Spurs are going to keep being mediocre, and mailing in games like the last two, I don't need to waste time following or watching them. I mean, it's pretty obvious they are playing hard only in spots, and not caring much any more about how the season goes. Going 4-4 on the Rodeo Road Trip with only one quality win is the worst they've done since it started, I believe, and bodes extremely poorly for the rest of the season.
(And why did they get that one quality win? Because Popovich said he was going to make some big decisions over the All-Star break. Hey! Motivation! This makes me sick -- it's exactly what bad teams do, play only for themselves rather than the team.)
I think they'll be fighting to get into the playoffs and bounced in the first round vs. Denver or the Lakers. Just like the fodder we used to laugh at back in the day, not so long ago.
I've got better things to do. Not interested any more. So long... it's been fun...

It's not the players' fault that they're continually put in this position. Instead of turning my back on them, I'm hoping for a revolution before this season goes down the tubes.
And yes I just said that, because I don't believe this season is lost yet.
Maybe Duncan knees will feel better having to carry a bandwagon with less weight...
Farewell...
Go ahead and let the door hit you on the ass...and do us all a favor and stay gone.
Damn, I'am really going to miss you.
weak ass fan to be jumping ship when faced with a little adversity and struggle.
Cya. See you back in the playoffs.
isn't that the truth. one of the most successful teams in the last decade and just now falling off a little bit. , the spurs aren't even out of the playoffs yet.
good riddance, stupid ass beeyotch
I have seen much worse as a Spurs fan. This season's an enormous disappointment, but then again I was fan way before 1999, so winning a le isn't a prereq for me to follow them.
I consider myself one of the most hardcore fans, but even tonight seeing Blair with 13 minutes of action and watching Ian and Malik sit on the bench it's tough to stomach. I love this team so much that it really just angers me and ruins my night to see the kind of we have the last couple of nights. It's enough to make me THINK about just waiting until lineup changes are made to start watching again...but I guess I love to torture myself as I still tune in
I think that is why I am still around. It is hard to fathom that someone with Pops pedigree can't see how placing players out of their natural positions can create so much turmoil.
this forum sucks
Can you really blame the OP for being disgusted with the team? Pop makes the games nearly unwatchable with his awful coaching. I wouldn't mind if the team was playing to the best of their ability and still losing. Unfortunately, the coaching staff is making matters worse.
Bulls eye!
I agree. I'm with them now as I was with them when they were up. But with the roster we have we are supposed to be better than this. We are getting beat by inferior teams. That is inexcusible and becoming labourous to watch. Watching other teams wealth of players at all positions and guys of malik hairstons caliber getting better because they have the oppurtunity just infuriates me. I'm ok with the fo mistake of rj but I'm not ok with how crappy our lineups have been. I just can't watch them right now. I don't expect a championship but I do expect effort. This team with the exception of a few severely lacks that. Oh and going forward let's try to draft more players without international ties. Less injuries and bs. Stephen jackson esqe. And I plan to go see them in nj as I do every year but something tells me they will allow nj another much needed win. This sucks. But its life. Go spurs
Disgust is one thing. Giving up and walking out is quite another.
Don't let the door hit you, bandwagoneers.
I have my tickets for the NJ game too. Gotta be there in the good, bad and ugly...
This.
Support your team, jackasses.
It's easy to be a fan through championship years.
Ugly it is. Maybe we can leave rj there and make the first in arena trade. Lopez and harris for rj and a 6 pack straight up.
Losing is one thing but playing with no heart and effort is another. Yeah Pop has ed up with his rotations and starting lineups all year long but thats still no excuse not to give the effort on the court. This team just looks like it doesn't give a with the exception of a few but a few isn't gonna cut it. I'm sick an tired of waiting for RJ's nuts to drop and at this point I'm now finally convinced that it just isn't gonna happen for RJ this year. I still don't think the season is completely lost and I'll always stick by this team but this year has been so damn frustrating.
Here's my thing. I do agree that jumping off the team when they're struggling is weak. But hey, I understand frustration. What you do is your prerogative. What I don't get is the need to announce it like your time spent watching and following the team is any more important than any other fan's. Why do you need to attention your way out? Just leave and be the loser you are. No one cares and no one will miss you. Just stop following them then. Don't announce it.
