Out of all the possible teams that could end up as the 8th seeds I asure you that the Spurs are the last one he wants to see facing his Lakers.
    Never heard of Portland?

I would prefer one of the young pups ...OKC, Portland or Memphis ...

BUT best on matchups I think lakers would prefer (matchup better) Spurs over Denver or Dallas ...

Say the Spurs vs Lakers happens in the 1st rd, it goes 6 games with the Lakers beating the Spurs but not without fighting for it. That would greatly hurt the Lakers energy in the 2nd round as they won the NBA le the previous year, same thing happened to the Spurs in 2008. Not an opponent the Lakers want to play in the 1st round as the Spurs would compete hard to beat them. Say they beat the Spurs and the Mavericks are waiting in the 2nd round, not an easy road to a repeat.
who cares about how hard the road is..as long as you win. Check back to 2008 & 2009 Playoffs. Game 7's were played in those playoffs by the winner.

I for one not scared of Portland that Rose Garden streak was the benefit of a lot of back2backs in the playoffs we would win in 5 or less ...

They are young, dumb and full of wing player and old frontcourt guys ...their best player has been hurt most of the season ...

Spurs 2010 Champs if Parker returns and is effective. I think they are just going through the motions. This has 2007 written all over it. They will kick the Lakers asses. They already own the Nuggets/Cavs when it comes to the playoffs. They are well under the radar.

'Cause they have more talent and experience than the other possible "8th seed" teams.

Lakers historically blow the next series after beating the Spurs. Even as a joke, there is no way in the Lakers want the Spurs in any series.
Remember when the Lakers beat a better Spurs team in five two years ago? Not looking too good for San Antonio now.

Kobe gets up for San Antonio over any other playoff team out West.

Have fun getting swept when you could have had a lottery pick.
