I gave my resignation - 2 week notice - yesterday, as I'm starting my new job in 2 weeks.
They told me that yesterday was my last day, but that the nest 2 weeks would be paid anyway.
They will also pay me my vacation/personal days balannce and profit sharing
Yay, 2 weeks of paid vacation before I start !![]()

Congrats, champ.
more time to watch Hockey while getting paid![]()
Thanks a lot
And watch UEFA Champions League games live
Hopefully you already took the drug test for the new gig and you can get high for 2 weeks!
No drug test, no background check, no reference check
They just love me
WHAT company allowed this?
Cool! Congrats and enjoy your time off!![]()
Drug tests?! really? Is this something common in the states?
I only had to do them to work for the City of San Antonio and AmeriCorps. I did an internship with a federal agency this summer and didn't have to take one (although I did have to submit fingerprints). It just depends on organizational policy.
Suck my balls!
Do most people in the US only get a couple of weeks vacation a year?
In Australia, you get 4 weeks, or 6 weeks in the health industry if you do a certain number of night shifts.
A lot of companies are also starting to introduce an option of buying extra leave as well.
Damn, now I have second thoughts; maybe the company doesn't exist; maybe when I get there on my 1st day, I will only find empty facilities
Thanks a lot
I live in Canada, but it depends on the industry; for exampe, pharmaceutical companies require it
