And do what? You guys already have CP3 and Darren Collison.
The Suns are a better team with Nash, as evidenced by Dragic's poor play in the 4th quarter. But I think once Dragic gets a few games like this under his belt, where he's responsible for running the team in a playoff-like atmosphere in the 4th quarter, he'll be just fine.
The Suns' PG future is bright.
And do what? You guys already have CP3 and Darren Collison.
We're a better team with Nash if Gentry knew when to bench him for defense.
Problem is who would want an old point guard? I'm a huge Nash fan, but am realistic. Only a team that's on the verge of winning and in need of a PG would want him. Also, I think Dragic is at least a year away from being a starting PG in the NBA.
I think he played good the last few minutes. Set up two plays perfectly out of that timeout for a 5-0 run.
The Suns are way more than a year away from being a contender so the later doesn't bother me. Idk who would want him now, but before the extension Portland offered a package of young players.
He had some great moments, but he also had like 4 TO's during the period, as well. Don't get me wrong, I love White Magic, but he's got a ways to go before he's a star PG.
And why is Dragic a year away from being a starter? He just had 16 points and 10 assists, the TO's will go away once he gets more late game experience.
I said "star" not "starter".
He had two, and had a shot blocked, but those were in the first 8 minutes. In the last 4 minutes he had 3 assists.
For sure.Don't get me wrong, I love White Magic, but he's got a ways to go before he's a star PG.
Was talking to Pauls.
Whatever no point in argument. Haven't been this excited about a win in a LONG time.
Agree, on the road vs a quality opponent.
This is what I call FUN!![]()
Hopefully Suns are smart enough now to rest Nash for these next two home games against BAD opponents, and maybe bring him back for the Sunday game in San Antonio.
This is the best statement in the thread. There have been times this year when Dragic should be playing just to cool the other team off.
True, maybe Dragic is at the point that Gentry will trust him enough to rest Nash more. Nothing would be better than to get Nash's minutes under 30 and Dragics roughly the same.
I won't mind Nash so much if they slowly cut his minutes and slowly lessened their reliance on him. It just does nothing for our future to have him do everything on offense for 35 minutes every night.
Good win sunfan. Never thought I would ever see J.Rich doing something other then chucking a 30 foot three to try & win a game hahaha smart move by driving into the lane.
I thought Dragic and Stoudemire looked great out there. Amare also happens to look a fair bit better on D without Nash...
Also, that's maybe the best game I've seen Richardson play as a Sun.
The funny thing is I thought the Suns needed to play perfectly today in order to win and they didn't.......who woulda thought they could win this game in spite of 10 missed free throws and 17 turnovers.
Phoenix somehow turned around their season this month. They've played well this month. Showing alot of grit.
Boy, was I right about Richard Jefferson.
Boy, was I WRONG about Goran Dragic. He couldnt even hit the rim in pre-season. Im not exaggerating. He air-balled shot after shot and I told DOK "This guy doesnt even belong in the LEAGUE".
Now, I think he's the best backup PG in the league and Im genuinely excited to have him as our future PG. He's not a gimmicky shooter like Eddie House. He can run the offense and he's got that Ginobili step-back, left-handed shot that is MONEY!
Dragic and Dudley. UNTRADEABLE!
It's a shame Dudley doesn't have at least some athleticism. He's so good at somehow getting himself open right under the hoop, but he gets blocked all the time because of how unathletic he is.
And yeah, lol all the defensive, "You're a Suns fan, so that means you have no idea how Jefferson would fit on the Spurs, 4 rings, got," posts aimed at you about Jefferson.
