Only person I could think that possibly else has this on their resume is Pete Maravich.
I don't think T-Mac has ever gotten out of the first round of playoffs. If so, how many former league scoring leaders (T-Mac did it twice--2003 and 2004) have never gotten out of the first rounds? Anyone know?

He's the only one. Maravich played very limited minutes in the second round for the Celtics in his final season.

He did make it out of the 1st rd though.
Grat question. One aspect we have to include is when TMac is in NY next year and who he has on the team? He SHOULD get out of the east then.
Great question though. I can tell you have a BRIGHT basketball mind when thinking of stuff like this. I do all the time as well when I am bored.

There's no guarantee that he will resign there. He might sign on the the Lakers, Celtics, or Cavs.......He'd never go back to Orlando, even though that would be epic. Point is, even if he goes back to NY next season, the Knicks aren't getting ANYBODY else
An even better question. How many guys who have never gotten out of the first round ever won a championship?

Nah, Maravich made the second round with the 1980 Celtics. TMac's alone on that mantle, though Durant could join him this season.
MJ without Scottie Pippen
