jayz lucky guy. he looks like a camel but he get a hot mama like beyonce lol.
So he played like Gasol?
I guess it's a compliment
What matchup problems? If we didn't have Haywood, it would be a matchup problem. Dirk actually guards Gasol pretty well. Go figure.
mavs have more weapons. this will be a big problem with the lakers.
He should be. He played like , along with several others. If any player on a team that loses isn't pissed he should return his paycheck.
More weapons...????/![]()
Lakers didn't bring it tonight. Took the night off defensively and didn't even bother to rebound on top of that. The game could've gone either way and unfortunately they just didn't want it hard enough.
One of Terry, Caron or Marion is going to have to sit.
Kobe TORCHES Butler so I think he is going to have to keep Marion out there for defense in crunchtime. I don't think Kidd or Terry can guard Artest.
Lakers in the playoffs will be getting 70% of their points from the post.
Mavs...??? Not so much.
Over the course of 7 games...I don't see the Mavs being able to hang with the Lakers.
The Mavs and Jazz battle for the #3 spot will be fun to watch though. They are going to battle hard down the stretch...don't want to land in the 4/5 spot.
actually in watching butler he hovers around the perimter. he cant hit a 3 to save his life. nice defense. terry was so hot butler would have sat anyways
Dude, Mavs and Jazz can easily get the number 2 seed. Have you seen Denver's March schedule, they have to come twice to Dallas with the Mavs already having a split in Denver.
Bynum and Gasol are so soft it aint Funny, When we play physical teams they struggle
Haywood really impressed me in this game his one on one defense against Bynum and Gasol was amazing. He can guard either of their bigs but espescially Gasol it was funny to watch Gasol's post up game negated by Haywood's strength. Gasol was literally forced to be a jumpshooter out there against Haywood which will always be the case in this matchup. Haywood's rebounding was also fantastic out there he prevented the Lakers from getting a lot of second chance points they normally would get off of offensive rebounds. The mavs with Haywood officially become a matchup problem for the Lakers because the Lakers size advantage isn't a problem against them unlike other teams and factor in them having Dampier which means they will never have to go small against the Lakers.
Ron and Lamar were probably the best Lakers tonight. The rest played poorly.
Funny Laker stat of the night that has been an occurance quite a few times this year.
Derek Fisher attempted more shots than:
Pau Gasol
Andrew Bynum
Lamar Odom
Ron Artest
Shannon Brown
Jordan Farmar
Josh Powell
DJ Mbenga
and for good measure
Adam Morrison (who should be getting equal shots with Fisher IMO.....0)
The Lakers will still pick on Dirk, Marion and Dampier in the post.
Seriously? That's where some of Pau and Bynum's shots should come from.
Kidd will guard Artest and Artest has not been able to exploit it from what I saw. Butler or Marion will start out on Artest. If the offense is being run by Artest, bad things usually happen for the lakers. Artest gets too close to the basket, Haywood will be there and he is good at avoiding fouls. The post is a hard place to play with a shotblocker out there.
Not worried about Ron at all.
You don't think he is capable of taking advantage of a mismatch?
sol only have 11-6
Fish 3-13
Terry 10-20
Yep...check the box score.
Lakers backcourt (Kobe, Fish, Farmar, Brown):
15/42 35%
Frontcourt (Artest, Pau, Drew, LO):
23/36 63%
It has happened WAY too many times this year though I'm FULLY confident this problem will be rectified come playoff time....which is why no team I think will beat the Lakers in a 7 game series.
