If you don't lock up wild animals ... you don't have human deaths

If they kill this whale ... PETA will be all over it.

If that's true, it needs to either be humanely euthanized or NOT perform in shows any more.
    Why?
No one saw what happened the first time to be sure this one was even involved, the second one was some idiot who hid out to stay after hours and fell in and this one....well I guess he snapped.
Either way though its a ing wild animal and should be respected as such. No point in killing it.
    Well something about this murder

So, you would just starve it to death? Because that's what would happen, and it's a of a lot worse and more cruel than a quick needle or elecrtic shock. Captive KWs are NOT equipped to live in the wild. And it's not "a" mistake. This whale has been involved in 3 deaths.

Set him free if he's going to die.

Why was she even in the tank with an animal which doesn't know it's strength and has killed before?

It is sad to hear news like this and my heart goes out to the family of the trainer but unfortunately when you work with "wild animals" you have to expect this kind of tragedy. I heard the news say "its not known what will happen with the whale" as if they plan on putting it down for reacting as a "wild animal" would.

It's sad and all that somebody died, but that's what humans get for exploiting wild animals for money..

In some cases, having wild animals in a zoo could be a good thing in today's society with all the human predators that are out there looking to capture these animals + the poor environment for some of these animals due to the climate + the extinction issues, but keeping a whale in a tank is ing stupid IMO..this is what happens..

well one the dude fell in the water and was found dead from hypothermia. not exactly the whales fault.
and i think in the first they couldnt even squarely place blame on it either. Just listed the fish as an accomplice basically bc it was there.

The poor whale had been taunted mercilessly by the trainers and the other whales.
You see, "Tillikum" was only his LAST name. His FIRST name is "Pullonit"
    He just finally snapped.....
