I don't think I'm the only one that thought Jefferson looked better playing along side Hill, Ian, Malik and Dejuan.

Because the youth tends to play at a faster pace, which beneits jeffersons game.

15 points, 7 rebounds, 28 minutes 50% shooting. Not bad. Of course if you would rather play Finley or Bogans...........................

So, move Manu into the starting lineup and let RJ lead the young guns from off the bench.

Jefferson plays better when he's the focal point of the O. Sad it's taken Pop til' the end of February to stumble onto this.

I posted it in the game thread.

RJ is a good player and tonight showed yet again that his game doesn't fit with Tim and Tony.

He also showed that he doesn't need Manu either to get going. He played a lot better with the young athletic players on the team.

    Ex- ing-actly.

You don't go from a rim-attacking decent jump shooting focal point of an offense to a total scrub that licks taint for nothing.

Say what you will about RJ but he always plays well when he's surrounded by scrubs and he's the focal point of the offense.

Jeeeeezus I'm tired of agreeing with AHF so much this season

If he'd just quit shooting from the outside and GO TO THE BASKET, he'd be a LOAD better...Look at his shot chart tonight.
6 jumpers - 4 missed, 2 18ft'ers made. 6 Shots at the rim 4 made, 2 missed. He drew no fouls on his jumpshots... When driving he gave up 1 offensive foul, and drew 3 fouls (for 3/5 FT's...).
Go to the Basket you F'ing gutless Moron!

    I agree completely.

Using RJeff as the focal off the bench with the young guys, and let the second unit play a more up-tempo game. Hill/Hairston/RJeff/Blair/Mahinmi as the second unit. Use Bogans/Finley/Bonner as situational players.

My only concern is Manu in the starting lineup at either SF (if you start Mason at SG)...he may get beat up to much on the defensive end.

Yeah when he's playing with scrubs, he actually gets to be part of the offense and actually TOUCH the ball.

Unless you want to try something radical

    Tim
    Ian
    Hairston
    Manu
    TP

    Hill
    RJ
    Blair
    McDyess
    Mason Jr.

This is what I posted in the Game Blog. Even if you don't like my rotations I think these are still the only 10 players that should be in the rotation.

No Finley, Bogans or Bonner on my team. There is no reason to play these guys. They have no potential and they won't help us now or later so why is Pop even playing them? Complete waste of time.

Jefferson can dunk the ball, make it land on his head after the dunk and walk with it on his head for 1/4 of the court...enough said.

The youngs guys making a come really proves that this league is
becoming a young guys league, and in order to compete you need youth/athletcism to match that of other teams. Hairston needs pt. And I'm willing to
    see mahimi eat bonnets minutes.

If Pop used RJ off the bench with Manu, Blair, Mahinmi, and Mason while the starters would be TP, Hill, Hairston, Duncan, and Dice, this team would be a BEAST.

    exactly x2.

for maybe the first time all season he looked natural out there playing with the young guys...with that lineup i could see him making good contributions.

If I had my choice of lineups

    TP
    Manu
    Hairston
    Blair
    TD

    bench

    Hill
    Mason
    Jefferson
    Dice
    Mahimi

I think keeping Manu and Blair together is a ideal by now.

Virtually anything that keeps the BFB trio off the court would be a big improvement.

My honest opinion is that Jefferson was the weak link on that final group that almost saved the game. He made a turnover that killed momentum took an ill advised 3 did rebound well,, but handled the ball way to much and when Blair fouled out the Rockets started scoring again. I do agree that Jefferson was better when he attacked the rim.
