I could easily watch the World Championships during the offseason because the level would still be high IMO. I would rather not have hockey, basketball, or baseball in the olympics and instead watch their respective World Cups.
Aren't the basketball World Championships this summer? With the level of talent around the world, it's gonna be an awesome tournament.

If you can, try to watch a Capitals-Penguins game...those two teams have a long history between them...you can feel the hate.
Congrats to Canada. They are just the best in hockey. It's their game, plus they are at home and USA is superior to them in almost every other sport, except this one so I wished it to them and they deserved it.
But still, USA did a great job, a really good team and you can be proud on them
The problem with the WC is that they are scheduled during the NHL playoffs, so Hockey powers will miss some of their superstars

You have to give props to both teams. USA surprised everyone even Canada. How many people honestly thought that the this USA team would have even been in the gold medal game? I don't even think that players on team USA thought that. Ryan Miller was great but you can't always win hockey games by depending on your goalie. Besides, Canada's team was stacked with all stars. I can't believe Tom Welling got the game winning goal. He hadn't done during the Olympics then he winds up getting the game winning goal.
