dude where's your sig from
I used all my ON whey which IMO is the best. The flavor was a 10/10, just like drinking a real chocolate shake. Whey prices have raised in the market and so some companies have raised their price including ON. I don't want to pay $45 for whey protein.
I went to Walmart and bought their brand(Body Fortress). I don't care what the brand it is as long as it has whey isolates and BCAA's. The flavor though is... bleh. Just barely good enough to finish the tub but hey it was $12 bucks.. can't complain.
Now Walmart carries another brand called Six Star for a couple dollars more.
Has anyone tried Six Star whey protein? How did it compare in flavor to others you have used.

I've only ever used ON Double Rich Chocolate. 4 Shakes a day (8 scoops) w/ water. 10 lb. bag is ~$85 shipped from bb.com. Try Bodybuilding.com forums. They usually have reviews on every supplement known to man. Also keep an eye out on wheycheap.com. They throw up a new deal every day. Every once in a while they will have some whey on there ( ty flavors or expired from the ones I've seen after checking it for ~3 months) but it sells out fast.

this be texas brih. everyone here is fat, no one works out, so there is no need for whey protein. ur asking the wrong type of ppl
There is already a tread for this it's called s.
4 shakes a day???? Do you eat?
I wish knew, just found it surfing the net.
That's the flavor I always get, the best I've had. I always buy it from bb.com. I'll check out wheycheap.com, thanks.

I started using this. It's cheaper and it seems legit judging by the reviews and so far I have had no problems except the vanilla flavor doesn't go down to well.
Also Premium Pro Rated Protein powder is pretty good so check that out.
I use Jarrow unflavored Whey. It's more flexible - I can blend it with whatever I want and don't have to worry about the taste. I usually blend it with frozen organic blackberries, blueberries, and pomegranate juice for breakfast.
If you're looking for some additional supplements to help with recovery and/or muscle growth (and maybe looking to branch out from your conventional routine), without ty flavor, you might be interested in these guys... http://musclepharm.com/home.php?cat=
Personally, I haven't tried YET it but holy they sound intense. And if you're gonna s out $50 for a fix, might as well go with the best quality with the biggest bang.
You must have some monster ing s.
Seriously though if you are doing 4 shakes a day that's just plain ing stupid. Your body can only process so much.. the rest you are just taking the long hard (or perhaps soft sometimes) way to throwing it in the toilet.
Nope
I'll workout @ 6 am. Have a shake afterwards. Have another shake @ 11 am. Eat Chicken/Spinach/Rice for lunch. Another shake around 4 pm. Eat Chicken/SweetPotato for dinner. Then one more shake before bed.
It's a ty way to do things but I am so sick of healthy food I pretty much have lost my appe e
Shake is just 15 oz. water and 2 scoops of whey. I was doing 1 cup of 1% milk, 2 scoops whey, 1 tblsp peanutbutter, flax seed oil, 40g of oats...but I got tired of cleaning the blender and just switched to a shaker bottle. I'm trying to get down to 200-210 lbs so the water/whey is an easy way to get protein and keep the calories down.
Without whey though, I would be too sore to go to work/school.

I'm 6'1 230 lbs lifting heavy 4 days (MTThF) a week and running 9 miles a week. I gotta have the protein or I will not be able to literally walk from Mon-Wednesday after going all out on Squats/Deads. s aren't too bad. Spinach keeps your legit. Popeye didn't take it for the big arms. Sorry for the TMI
I've read your body can process like 40 g of protein every couple hours.
I use syntha 6 which I get at Cost Plus nutrition. I believe it is about $33. Cookies and Cream and Moccacino are the only ones i have tried but they are damn good. By the way, don't buy this kind of stuff anywhere else, Cost Plus has the lowest (usually substantially lower) than anywhere else, and the people working there are pretty knowledgable about what they are selling.
Additionally, your routine keeps your metabolism working it's ass off, meaning a quicker route to your target weight.
I agree with the OP.
ON is the , especially the chocolate one, tastes like Nesquik
Good prices too.
Damn, I can't really relate. I'm at 150 and im trying to gain, I eat everything in sight so i limit myself to 1 shake a day (if at all) during or right after work outs. I havent really noticed much of a difference... Maybe i should drink more shakes?
Anybody try After Shock?..quality , I've had some great gains in the last 2 months..
if you're too sore to go to work or school then you're stressing your body too much working out, if you take extra protein or not.
i buy the 5lb bag of eas whey at sam's 40 bucks
4 shakes 8 scoops load of protein along with the protein you eat through solids, i hope you drink tons of water to synthesize the protein. excess protein is taxing on kidneys in the long run and excess is converted and stored as fat

This is funny. I was at a nutrition store the other day and I told them their prices on whey went up and the lady swore they didn't. A 2 lb cannister of ON was $24.99. She said she had worked there for 8 years and that she knew it hadn't. I said you're wrong. She said I was wrong. That's actually how the conversation ended.
I went home and tried to find a cannister with a $19.99 or $17.99 (can't remember which one it used to be) price tag from the store to shove in her face but didn't have any.
buyprotein.net has a 2 lb cannister listed for 21.99. Is this more than you wanted to pay? I think it's usually $3 more.
I have my old 5lb tub of ON whey with a $31 price tag on it from Cost Plus you can have to throw at her head. Fill it with lead first.
