Barack Obama is still struggling to kick smoking, according to his first medical examination since becoming president.
Obama is sensitive about his cigarette habit and tetchy with reporters who raise it. But after his 90-minute medical at the Navy hospital outside Washington yesterday morning, his doctors confirmed he had not yet managed to conquer the habit and suggested he "continue smoking cessation efforts".
The doctors said the president used medication to try to ease the pangs, they described it as "nicotine replacement therapy, self-use".
Obama promised Mic e when he embarked on his campaign to become president he would quit, at the time he said he was smoking about eight a day. (well, at least he kept his promise to take her to a Broadway Play, albeit at taxpayers' expense)
He told reporters last year he had quit but still had an occasional cigarette, without specifying how many. (so he's a liar also)
The doctors also recommended "moderation of alcohol intake". (guess the Prez likes to party down!)

This is the kind of thing that really stupid people care about.
You know, I like beating up on the man, but I'm not going to over this. I used to smoke. Kicking the habit isn't easy, but August will be 10 years for me.

Really - I could care less about Obama's personal habits - I just thought it was funny that he's having such a hard time keeping ANY of his campaign promises.

It's been 5 months since I had my last smoke... and it was a and a half to get away from it. I still get some nicotine assistance from an electronic cigarette, and that's working great from me.

It takes a moron to believe he has control over congress to insure he gets his promises taken care of. At least he has no one to blame but himself on breaking this promise.
If you are truly interested in his promises and whether he keeps them, there is a website dedicated to just that.
But you don't give a at all. Innuendo and made up bull and shrewish commentary are what you want.
George W. Bush in 2000 at a debate with Vice President Al Gore:

GGA, while I won't argue about the use of that quote as a campaign promise to the conservative base that appreciates non-invasive use of military force...you must keep in mind that 9/11 was a game changer.
That withstanding, until Obama chokes on a pretzel I won't cry about his broken campaign promises. But I will cry and wonder about why a rotted human carcass like Pelosi has ANY power in ANY government.
I am not a fan of Pelosi.... Whether she's a good speaker or not I think she is what epitomizes the problem in Washington. I feel the same way about Reid, Boehner, and McConnell..
Regarding 9/11 being a game changer I agree to an extent... To the extent that Iraq was not the place to start the second war..
Pelosi is doing what she is supposed to do: Stay electable and get the votes needed for the leader (Obama). I don't like Pelosi either but I am not going to blame her. This is Reid and Barry. Mainly Barry for not targeting a specific problem to solve with healthcare and for not having a more specific healthcare reform for which the congress could build on.
