I actually saw the premiere of "Parenthood" last night. I don't know if I will watch it again.

Maybe I just can't identify since I don't have children yet, but it seemed like an hour-long running pun of how much drama kids can be. In which case, that story has been told before.
I remember the movie and it was very funny. But you are right it was waay too sappy. The music was just too much---running into the horrible Nissan commercials. Those were pretty unbearable.
It's too bad though because I like all the actors involved, and I didn't dislike any of the characters they played.
