Free agency is gonna be pretty lame this year because of all the restricted free agents. I feel bad for the player who could have signed a lucrative deal and will end up tearing his ACL this year after signing a 1 year tender offer.
Colts resign Gary Brackett.
It shouldn't be a pipe dream, the Patriots should be one of the favorites to land him and should be throwing money at him. This front office has gotten a little too obsessed with having great "value" players and not going after marquee players. "Value" players you get in the 2nd round are only gonna get you so far.
Peppers is exactly what this team needs. Peppers/Wilfork/Warren would be deadly.
They need a guy like him or this team is going to suck ass at getting to the QB.
I don't know what it is, but is Peppers going to the Bears?
They're the favorites to land him but the Redskins are close. Idk why players like Peppers still sign with Washington, it's always been the place veteran players go to die.
Damn didn't know Kenny Phillips might have a career ending injury. That sucks.
Rolle has reportedly turned down a six-year, $38.6 million offer from the Cardinals. He is targeting a whopping $40 million over five seasons. Mar. 5 - 12:00 am et

Bears: ‘Pretty Good Offer’ For Peppers
SportingNews 1 hour, 54 minutes ago
Chicago is giving Panthers free-agent defensive end Julius Peppers the grand tour of its facilities, and a deal is imminent. That’s according to a report from Sirius NFL Radio.
A source told the network that the Bears have a "pretty good offer" on the table for Peppers, and chances are they won’t let him leave the Windy City without a whole lot of cash.
It was no secret that Lovie Smith coveted a pass rusher of Peppers’ caliber, and after a couple of down years on the Bears’ defensive line, they needed an impact player. Hopefully, for them, an investment in Peppers will pay off in boosting their pass rush for the next few years.
Uhhh, whichever side Cromartie is on.
Cromartie is about as far from a lockdown CB as you can be.
That's probably true, at least compared to what he was even a couple seasons ago. But, sometimes beggars can't be choosers. And even if he isn't that good, he'd still probably be an upgrade over what the Lions had at DE last year. I'm sure the Lions are hoping that reuniting with his old defensive coordinator will get him back closer to what he was a few years ago. It's a longshot, but like I said, beggars can't be choosers. It's not like Julius Peppers was a realistic acquisition for the Lions.
overrated
Patriots the favorites to land Boldin
The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson reports the Patriots are the front-runners to land Anquan Boldin.
Say this for the Patriots: they know a good value when they see one. At the cost of a third-rounder, Boldin is a no-brainer. His next team has him under contract cheaply for the 2010 season with a year to work out a contract. If no deal can be reached, the cost was still just a third-rounder for one season of a possible difference-maker.
I wanted the Patriots to get Bess because he's a poor man's Boldin.....I had no idea they could possibly get Boldin.
NFL Live said it's a done deal for Boldin to Bal.
If that's true, then the Patriots got blocked
And all the Cardinals get is a 3rd round pick? That's pretty re ed. Bidwell is still cheap as can be. If there was a salary cap the Cardinals would have tons of room right now.
