On a per minute basis, he's a more productive rebounder than Tim Duncan and all but three other people in the NBA. He's quite a good rebounder.
yea and on a per minute basis Thornton is averaging over 20 points a game and only 3 less rebounds per game than Blair. only 3 less!

BRHornet, don't let foolish pride cloud your judgment. You normally use sound logic. Blair is a great rebounder. Most everyone would take Blair over Thornton.

lol son you guys are the ones who need to take the homer / beer goggles off. Thornton does pretty much everything better than Blair. the ONLY thing Blair has Thornton beat on is rebounding and not by that much when you break it down per minute. regardless, you guys claim that Blair is such a beast at rebounding, then it is pretty pathetic that a 6'4 guard is only 3 rebounds behind him.

    Per 48 so is Blair.On a per 48 basis, it's 11 less.
LMAO at you twisting the stats! son we are going by the STANDARD per 36 minutes. regardless it doesn't matter how you try to twist the stats around, Thornton does everything better aside from rebounding.

lmao son what's next? .... "but but but Blair averages 11 rebounds per game on Thursdays!!!"

    Your numbers are wrong.
no they are not. you guys are just trying to twist the stats in favor of Blair. the standard per minute rule is based on 36 minutes. I didn't make that up, go look at professional statistic sites. but like I said it doesn't matter either way. totals, per game, per 36 minutes, Thornton is better in nearly every stat. here are some links since my numbers are "wrong" according to you.

The NBA lists it per 48. Take it up with them.

He doesn't block better than Blair.

lmao son what's next? .... "but but but Blair averages 11 rebounds per game on Thursdays!!!"
Next you'll be saying Thornton blocks better than Blair -- oh, wait. You already said that.

    Blair Per 36:

    56% FG, 15.4 PTS, 12.4 REB, 1.4 AST, 1.2 STL. 1.1 BLK, 2.6 TO's

    Thornton Per 36:

    45% FG, 20.1 PTS, 4.1 REB, 1.7 AST, 1.1 STL, .2 BLK, 1.4 TO's

So Blair shoots better, kills him on the boards, about the same on ast, better steals and more blocks.

ROTFLMAO!!! son go look at the links I provided. the standard rule of thumb is based on per game stats, and if you break it down to minutes it is based on per 36 minutes.

oh and LOL ... your "beast" Blair only has .4 more rebounds than Thornton per game! so impressive! Thornton will have the better career because he is actually a hard worker and takes care of himself. Blair is fat and will probably eat himself out of the NBA by the time he is 25.

son I would hope to God that a power foward has a better field goal percentage than a shooting guard! son why don't you expose the REAL stats which are PER GAME? not this "per 36 minutes" or "only Thursday night game" stats!

Look at the NBA site. Which site is run by the NBA?

oh and LOL ... your "beast" Blair only has .4 more rebounds than Thornton per game! so impressive!
So why do you run away from the per 36 stats in this case? Because you are twisting the numbers.

Thornton will have the better career because he is actually a hard worker and takes care of himself. Blair is fat and will probably eat himself out of the NBA by the time he is 25.

Because if you are comparing players, it is fair to have them on an equal playing field. PER minute stats do that to a large degree. If you take it in context.
