LOL at Spurfan saying 1st rd exit when the backup center for SA is 6 foot 6 lmao
The Mavs are looking very, very good. If they can get Damp and Haywood and Terry all healthy.
Caron is balling so hard. Caron>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Howa rd

Roddy B is nice, but I just don't see him getting burn when JET returns. Just part of the frustrations of being a fan who falls in love with the new young gun.
If Carlisle isn't a complete dumbass he will give Rodrigue all of JJ's minutes. Play him as a backup pg. If he keeps playing like this, you can't keep him on the bench imo.
tbh Carlise is still going to be a Barea knobslobber. We saw similar explosions of talent last season with Gerald Green, and Carlisle remained stubborn all season long.
imo Beabois' potential > Green's potential but still, if Carlisle ever bothered to develop Gerald Green, we'd have another legit 2-guard on the roster right now.
Coaches are a funny breed. Understandably when you have a lot on the line.
Also time to not play Kidd such heavy minutes. Gotta give Beaubois enough minutes to get his flow. I'd say take about 5 minutes away from terry as well.
Mono, I don't think you can blame Mr. Carrey for that. Green is not doing anything.
Green never did the things Roddy is doing. To compare them is crazy, imho. Roddy is showing self control, passing ability and composure. Green would just go out there and do pretty dunks.
Dallas was largely considered his "last chance" among the higher-ups in the NBA. Nobody was going to give him a chance if he flamed out in Dallas.
Gerald Green showed considerable potential in Dallas, he always played hard when he was on the court, and his only real flaw was that he had a tough year shooting the ball. Carlisle never gave him a fair shake.
Honestly I think he's still got All-Star level talent, but most everyone in the NBA had already decided "if he flames out in Dallas then he's finished forever" and that's why he's not around anymore.
I think Carlisle learned some from what happened to Gerald Green, which is why he's given Beaubois a teeny bit more leeway. But it's still not enough, and his inability to trust raw playmakers will be his downfall in Dallas unless he figures that out.
Green had plenty of occasions where he played aggresive defense and gave the offense a big spark.
Beaubois is shooting a whole lot better than Green did at any point last year, and that's helping him a lot.
a 6-8 shooting guard with ungodly athleticism is always a good thing as long as his talent is being used properly, and the bottom line is that Carlisle never gave Gerald a fair shot. Which is very similar to the way Carlisle treated Roddy up until 2 games ago.
So how many games has Roddy actually played now? I mean games with decent minutes. I've noticed in the last couple of games he is getting court time and doing well. Is this his first real court time this season?
I know you Dallas fans were raving about him earlier in the season and Carlisle wouldn't play him.
MAN dallas is PUMPED!!!!
maybe start planning the parade now??
Here is Roddy's game log if you want to see exactly how he has done.

He got a decent amount of playing time in the second half of November and early December. But then he went almost a full month playing only a single minute TOTAL. There are a lot of 0's under the minutes category. If you check a lot of the Mavs' box scores this season, you'll find way too many of these next to Beaubois: "DNP Coach's Decision."
Just had a look and he has an awesome FG% and also at 40% from three point range. I am very surprised he is 6-0 because I just saw some bigs dunks on those highlight videos. This kid is alright so far. I wonder why Carlisle never plays him much. When he gets decent minutes it looks like he can score.
How is his defense?
He makes some great defensive plays. He has great leaping ability and has already had some highlight reel blocks, including one against the Wolves a couple days ago.
In terms of one-on-one defense, someone else may need to chime in, because I'm no expert on the matter.
