Kobe had a horrible fourth Q when barnes got into his head, but he redeemed himself by hitting a big shot after the other. I think what lost this game for the Lakers was not offense though. There were 4 huge lapses on defense that resulted in 9 points.

Kobe leaving Barnes open

Odom's weak foul on Dwight that became a three point play

Gasols ffrustration foul on Dwight that also resulted a three point play

Odom leaving Rashard wide open on the left key who almost made a four point play


These are just unacceptable if you're going to win a championship.

Matt Barnes has never and will never get into anyone's head. He's a dumbass piece of basketball player who thinks he's about 100x tougher than he actually is in real life.

That being said, it's a little discouraging to hear Gasol lash out at Bryant so publicly. These things are best left said in the locker rooms, regardless of how true they may be.

The Lakers offense is stagnant right now. The ball movement needs to be better and Kobe has GOT to go back to being a facilitator unless the team needs him. I suspect he's been going into gunner mode to try and find his rhythm after having sat out 5 games.

Phil Jackson knows what he's doing and I trust that he will right the ship and get the team back on track.
