Actor Corey Haim -- best known for 80s films including License to Drive and the Lost Boys -- has died at the age of 38.
Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor's death to TV station KTLA.
According to police, Haim, who had past substance-abuse problems, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an accidental overdose.

He reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment. He was with his mother at the time of his death.

RIP. It's sad to hear that he gave in to his addiction. Lucas was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

Accidental overdose does not always mean the blatant abuse of prescription drugs...I heard a report that he was experiencing flu-like symptoms, and if he's on antibiotics and takes something that reacts with it - accidental overdose. Not to mention he probably had other health problems.
Just one day I wanted to see a proper Lost Boys sequel with the Coreys...something deserving of all the fanboy nostalgia! Rest in peace, Mr. Haim.

This is sad. He was in so many movies that I loved growing up. Lost Boys is one of my all time favorite movies.
