Believe what you want to believe. To each their own. But, if I get to the end of life, and I'm wrong about everything I believe. That Christianity is a big sham, and a huge lie - well, I've still lived a pretty good life, tried to do things the moral, right way - so I'm not out a whole lot. But, if you get to the end of your life and you're wrong about everything, you're in a heap of trouble.

While I appreciate your concern, I think it is for each individual to decide for themselves what is fulfilling for them.
I believe this was a good move for me- granted only time will tell. I pray a lot about the decisions I make and trust God to lead me, as He always does.

It did hurt my feelings that Ploto persisted in ripping me apart with her posts after I had made my decision known and she had already stated her stance on it.

I stated my decision. I read and responded to her comments.

I have yet to fail as a stay-mostly-at- home wife so why all the smugness? And if you have kind intent... why be smug at all. Some of her comments were downright mean.
And no one with any self respect would sit by and believe they deserved said cruel comments.
That is why after 8/9 pages of patiently waiting for Ploto to cease, I felt compelled to acknowledge that " Yes Ploto, I have noted all your post" and
" You do not know what you are talking about."

But I am grateful to Ploto because thanks to her, I remembered that I have a well functioning backbone.

I have said before that Christians I have known over the years and talked to believe that salvation is still possible even at the last minute before execution on death row.

I'd like to know what the justification is that a murderer on death row still can have last minute access to Heaven while people doing what most of us would agree on as "good works" their whole life still can go to if they are non-believers.

This is what I don't really understand from the whole thread. Not just from ploto but from others too. (Though I know you were more hurt but Ploto's comments, since you thought you were friends.)

I don't get why deciding to work part-time in order to concentrate on your relationship/family is a bad thing.

And though I don't completely agree with Bo's decision to quit school, if he can/wants to support his wife while she takes care of the home, then I don't get why people think that's so horrible.

It's like no one has ever heard of the wife being a homemaker and the man being the breadwinner. Not every husband in that situation will end up resentful and not every wife will end up lazy.
