HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKY HAMMON!!!
sons March 11th is Becky's 33rd birthday and just like fine wine, she only gets better with age! oh and that is on and off the court! Not only is this woman a true baller on the floor, but she is also a beautiful lady and wonderful person! Since arriving in San Antonio, Becky's numbers have done nothing but skyrocket and she has set new career high's. She has also sparked tons of new interest in women's basketball in Texas (and around the world) that wasn't there before her arrival.
Becky is clearly the best point guard in the WNBA, in San Antonio history, and arguably in all of Texas's history as well. A 6 time all star and 1st team all-WNBA, her numbers speak for themselves. If only she had the supporting cast that Tony Parker has been blessed to have, then the Silver Stars would be shooting towards their 4th consecutive WNBA championship this year. I decided to show stats comparing Becky and Parker's numbers over the last 3 seasons. Now of course the WNBA season is much shorter than the NBA's season, so Tony has a bit of an advantage, but as you can see ... Becky owns. Oh and even with Parker's injury he still played in more games. Below is both of their averages over the last 3 seasons and the leaders numbers are in bold.

I like Becky Hammon too and she is an excellent point guard. However, you took an unfair shot at Tony Parker.
TP is a shooting PG and has been asked in the Spurs system to generate offense and not be a pass-first PG or just a setup PG. The critics of TP (like yourself) wants him to be like Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, or even Deron Williams.
Even Spurs fans fall into that same trap.
Is TP the best point guard in the league? No. But he is a top 5 PG and has been effective for the Spurs.
BR Hornet 45....you usually have very good posts and I've liked reading them. But, you took a cheap shot at TP by couching your love for Becky Hammon.
son this is in noway a shot at Parker. of course he is one of the best point guards in the NBA. I'm just pointing out the facts when comparing the two. "pound for pound" I think Becky is better. oh and you say Parker is a shoot first PG, well so is Becky!
regardless though son this is a birthday post. maybe I should delete the stats because this shouldn't turn into a debate. just wish Becky happy birthday!

Guess any scrub can chuck a ball and get their points. Maybe she can have a shootout with Keith "Centerpiece" Bogans for a roster spot on the Spurs.
The WNBA is a league that actually lets players play legit defense on others, so shot percentages tend to be lower than your typical overrated NBA superstar. 43% in the WNBA would probably inflate to about 48% in the NBA. This isn't the NBA where FG %s are inflated because of ref bailouts, wide open dunks, etc...The WNBA players put out 150% D on their opponents unlike the halfass effort most NBA players show(its all about ppg..not defense mentality). Good try at hating Miss Becky though
